2000 Agusta MV F4 750 “ORO” #286 of 300

Update 10.30.2012: This listing was first published in September of 2009 and has reappeared on eBay from what appears to be the same seller. The opening bid is up a bit at $25k but is also listed with a buy-it-now of $37k. Currently no bids with just less than 2 days to go. Thanks to Doug for the original post on this bike! -dc

I posted a 1999 F4 a few days ago that had been upgraded to look like this bike.  As my previous post stated “Oro” means gold in Italian.  All of the gold bits on this F4 Oro are Magnesium with gold finish, thus the badge of Oro.  I think these are pure eye candy and am envious of anyone who owns one of these beauties.  This MV Agusta F4 750 Oro is #286 of 300, located in Miami and is listed for sale on eBay for $22,000 with no reserve or buy it now.  So, it is possible that you could own this for $22,000.

MV oro1mv oro3MV oro2mv oro4

I just had to throw up some large pictures this time so everyone can see the detail, carbon fiber bits and Ohlins components.

This super rare example of MV Agusta’s premiere motorcycle is one of only a hand full that made it to the USA. Most were coveted by celebrities like Jay Leno and Lyle Lovett who were able to get their hands on them. Only 300 were produced in total! It was featured in 2000 at “The Art of the Motorcycle” exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum in NY. Wesley Snipes rode this mode in the movie “The Art of War”. This bike has only 1,200 miles and has never been titled. Comes with Certificate of Origin. Engine: Four Stroke 749cc Inline 4 cylinders 4 valves per cylinder Double overhead camshaft Bore Stroke: 73.8 x43.8 Weber Marelli 1.6M injection carburetors Liquid cooled 6 gears Chain drive transmission Sandcast engine Loads of magnesium parts Brakes: Front – twin disc Rear – disc Weight: 396 lbs. Serviced by Fast by Ferracci IMMACULATE Stand included There is too much to say and no way to express how awesome this bike is in an ad.  Call Earl for the information and stories you could listen to for hours!

I would love to hear the Ferracci exhaust note on this thing, I bet it screams….  Although the owner doesn’t give much information on any modification made to the bike, they do offer their phone # for additional information.  So if you’re interested hit Earl up for some info.

2002 MV Agusta F4 750 Senna #173 of 300

We’re big fans of the F4 Senna and this looks like another solid example. While this one has been ridden a bit with 6k miles and comes with a couple small scuffs, they are minor. Especially when you consider the buy-it-now is only $11,500. Most of the living room examples we’ve posted previously have had asking prices of over $15k. Check it out here!

Rare Vintage: 1975 MV Agusta 750 Sport America

For Sale: 1975 MV Agusta 750 Sport America

This bike goes a bit further back than most we post here on RSBFS – but what a beauty it is! Constructed in some of the final days of the Meccanica Verghera Agusta (MV was to win their final Grand Prix only a year later), the 750 Sport embodied everything the company came to know about performance. Today this bike is known more for appearance and price than performance, but in its day it was a genuine hot rod.

From the seller:
This nicely preserved MV Agusta 750 Sport originally came from Germany; where it had been taken to an MV dealer to be converted to ‘America’ specification. It was brought over to Canada and sold to acclaimed Canadian film director David Cronenberg (the endorsed Ontario Registration is still in his name). It changed hands briefly and was acquired by the current owner; who embarked on a minor cosmetic restoration that brought the machine to the state you see in now. Note that the tail light and left hand switchgear were not hooked-up during the restoration.

The MV has been on display in a climate-controlled environment during its current ownership and has a commanding presence.

This auction is in the rarified air above $20k. Not many bidders venture into that territory, but this is one of those bikes that can command the highest dollars from a collector. An old school classic from when the family of Count Agusta still ran the works, these are highly sought after and very rare.

For your chance to check out this very special bike, click the link and jump over to the auction. While not a two stroke or a RC/OW homologation special is this something that might get you to jump into the action? Let us know your thoughts!

September Month in Review [RC30, Dream 50, CB1, FZR600, Z1R Turbo, R65 LS, Walter Wolf, ZRX1200R, F4S, 888 SPO]

I’m a little behind here at RSBFS HQ but here are the final two weeks of review for September. You can check out the first and second week reviews as well. Take care guys,

dc

This 1993 Ducati 888 with 992 miles failed to sell the first time with a high bid of $7700, then was relisted a 2nd time with an opening bid of $8500 and no action. It’s back on eBay now with a buy-it-now of $10k. [Live Auction | Our Post]

Ducati 888 For Sale

We had 3 Feature Listings in September and two of them sold exclusively via our website:

This 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R caused some raised eyebrows over it’s actual rarity, but it followed a real ELR that was posted earlier in that week. Nonetheless, it went home with a new owner for just a tick over $4k. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

ZRX1200R For Sale

In typical LanceGamma fashion, this auction reached an amazing $21k in bids before being ended early. I’m not clear on how eBay could possibly continue to tolerate this but we’ll try to keep watching these for high bids before the listing gets nerfed. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

Lance Gamma Walter Wolf For Sale

This 1984 BMW R65 LS with under 1000 miles sold for a surprising $6700. Congratulations to buyer and seller! [Closed Auction | Our Post]

This 1978 Kawasaki Z1R Turbo saw active bidding up to $17.4k and failed to sell the second time around with a buy-it-now of $18.5k. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

Here we have a nice and clearn 1989 Yamaha FZR600 survivor that sold for just $3k! [Closed Auction | Our Post]

This 1997 Honda Dream 50 also sold with a winning bid of $6600. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

Honda Dream for sale

This Honda RC30 failed to meet reserve in August with bidding reaching $26.6k. Relisted last month it failed to sell again at $28k. Of course it goes without saying that these are the crown jewel of any collection, but how much higher could it realistically sell for? I think only examples with less than 1000 miles have sold for more. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

This modified 85 Yamaha RZ500 sold for $7800. Strong money but a good deal for both buyer and seller. [Closed Auction | Our Post]

It’s Good To Be Blue: 2003 MV Agusta F4S

It’s Good To Be Blue:  2003 MV Agusta F4S

Update 10.1.2012: SOLD!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being blue when it  comes to this F4S.  Calm yourself just for a moment as I know you are probably kneeling,  thanking a higher power for the opportunity to finally purchase an F4S with the  “Viper Kit”.  This is what I would call a very classy reproduction of that stunning Tamburini designed kit.  Frowning?  You shouldn’t be, as the Viper Kit  was strictly a cosmetic kit and only 50 were produced.  You know what comes next with MV Agusta and limited numbers; a very limited price.  The only one I could find for sale was listed for 46,000 GBP.  I think you will pleasantly surprised as to what is offered here.

The best four stroke butt in the business!

Let us tempt you with a few specs:

Arrow –Ti Headers& Mid-pipes with Ferracci/Silmoto CF Mufflers

Power Commander                              (Ferracci-installed)

Rizoma-Bar End Weights & Grips

Blue Alcantara-(suede) Seat Cover          (Factory accy)

3M-Protective Fairing Film

Dunlop-17” Sportmax 209’s

Integrated LED Tail Lights

Carbon Fiber-Factory accessories

Front Fender  /  Rear ‘Hugger’ Fender      (Factory accy)

Air Intakes  /  Radiator Deflector             (Factory accy)

Ignition Guard  /  Dash Bezel                  (Factory accy)

Foot Peg Guards  /  Chain Guards (2)      (Factory accy)

Exhaust Shields  /  Fairing Covers (4)      (Factory accy)

License Plate Holder                              (Ferraci accy)

Tools and Extra Parts for Bike:

Factory Stand for single swingarm (color matched to bike)

Chain Adjustment Spanner  /  55mm Axle Socket (1/2” drive)

Triple Clamp Multi-Pin Wrench  5 extra Key/ Blanks

Ferracci-Riser Clip-ons (not installed)

Have the Original-steel Exhaust pipes

Matching Alpine Leathers (Blue/White-1pc)

Think it has been ridden much?  It hasn’t; the  clocks read 6024 miles.  You probably guessed the next part; garage kept and never seen a drop of rain.  The bike has only seen the inside of Fast By Ferraci for service, with no exceptions.

In my humble opinion the blue/silver just transforms the bike.  MV’s have sexy lines but the silver/red does get a bit stale over time.

I don’t generally consider MV owners has horsepower  chasers but if you are curious the seller states it pumps out 145HP  at 12,600RPM with the Power Commander.

This proud owner has done the work for you, you just need to write the check and enjoy.  In the grand scheme of things the check doesn’t have to be all that big.  The seller is asking $11,000 to rider away with her.

The bike is located in New Jersey.
