1994 Honda RVF 400 For Sale!

Stumbled across this Racing Vee Four 400 while eating my crappy rice and beans lunch. It looked a little lonely so, I thought “Why not show it some RSBFS.com love!”
These are always well received on the site and this one looks to be in pretty good shape with less than 8,000 miles showing.

From the seller
One of a handful in existence in the United States! Get in on this opportunity to own something extremely rare!

Pretty impressive description and pictures eh? I know, I think the pics leave a little to be desired too. But, the upside is this mighty machine is it’s located in eastern PA sort of between Scranton, Allentown and near the little town of Nazareth. We could stop in Allentown and say “Hey!” to Billy then head up to Scranton to see Dwight and then back down to Nazareth to visit my buddy Michael and pick up a hand crafted 6 string. Road trip anyone?

This picture gives me the best insight into the condition of this machine. You can see it has not be restored and does have some of the typical JDM corrosion. It also looks to be bone stock!

Check it out here!

Anyone seen this machine in person? If so, let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

I took some liberty and searched the site for past Racing Vee Four posts. If you’d like to compare this one to a few others feel free to check them out here!

Cheers!

1990 Suzuki RGV250 SP2 For Sale!

1990 Suzuki RGV250 SP2 For Sale on eBay!

I like to look at pictures. Do you like to look at pictures? Good- have a seat and feast your eyes on this 2 Stroke goodness.

From Mr Two Stroker
1990 Suzuki RGV250SP2. My rare RGV250SP2 which I have owed since March 1991 is up for sale from my collection. As the second owner I imported this bike from the original owner back in 1991 and therefore it’s not all corroded and oxidized like many Japanese imports of this age. For those who are no familiar with this rare SP2 model, it was only made by Suzuki in limited numbers for a few years. It’s a Japanese SP model bike with one big difference. The SP2 model came with the same gear ratios as the street non SP model. It did not have the tall SP racing transmission. But everything else was identical to the SP1 model, dry clutch, bigger carbs, and fully adjustable suspension, used on the SP1. I have spent a small fortune on upgrades for this bike. Many upgrades that are no longer available.

I totally rebuilt the engine less than 1,000 miles ago. New Pistons, rings, Crank seals, water pump, dry clutch upgrades, VHM O-ring high performance heads. The cylinders were ceramic recoated and lightly ported by my old friend Stan Stephens back in the UK. Ceramic coating is harder and more durable than Nikasil plating. Aftermarket billet power valves installed. It has the bigger SP carburetors on it with the Suzuki full SP jetting kit set up. Air box modifications. I put a UK made Pace high performance radiator on. This is a thicker high quality racing Rad. Not some cheap Chinese aftermarket product. That with silicone radiator hoses. Bike has a full power UK black box. All with a beautiful set of Lomas stainless steel pipes with carbon silencers.

For handling I installed a Tyga triple clamp, Sansei handle bars, racing 300mm Italian made front disk with 6 piston calibers, and 19mm front master cylinder. Brakes are phenomenal. Front suspension is fully adjustable and had been reworked by PPS. The back has a beautiful Penske fully adjustable rear shock, Wave rear disk. I just rebuilt the rear caliber, steel braided brake lines throughout. Installed, at a high price, custom made light weight magnesium rims front and back from Dymag. Tyga rear sets, steering damper, were added along with a new MPH speedo! It has almost unused Michelin Pilots tires on it, that are old and should be replaced.

I recently did a brake fluid flush, trans oil change, new coolant, new plugs, new battery, New petcock, Ultra sound carb cleaning. Bike was sitting in my collection and hasn’t been used in years.

Bike has a lot of titanium, stainless and aluminum nuts and bolts, Carbon front and rear fenders, Aluminum front fairing stay.

I have a Tyga unpainted rear tail section on it. Custom shock reservoir holder. The front fairing are the originals from 1990! They have some chips and minor cracks in them. Not the best of shape but still fine. Tank has a small ding in it that was there when I bought the bike in 1991. I was going to put a new Tyga front fairing on it. Have it all pained to look like a museum piece, but decided after 10’s of thousands of dollars, I’m not spending any more on I bike I no longer ride. It needs to go to someone who will appreciate and ride it.

This bike is ready fast with some of the best aftermarket parts that were available at that time. It’s ready to go and comes with a current valid California plate and title! I loved riding around on this bike, but after 31 years it’s another bike in my collection that I must sell. At my age, I’m getting to the point I’ll be hauling round on a motorized wheelchair rather than on a super-fast 250!!

I think I need a cigarette now, but I must confess- I usually look down my nose at heavily modified machines. However, not so much on this one. What’s different you ask? Lets start with the drool worthy Dymag wheels. Wooooo doggy!
How about we throw in a race worthy Penske shock, ceramic coated cylinders and full power chip? Had enough yet? Okay, it’s outfitted with some tasty TYGA carbon and aerospace grade aluminum bits and bobs too.

These make around 60hp, but the power band to make that power resides in a pretty narrow stretch of RPM’s. Usually, hitting between the 8-11,000 range for peak power. I bet those Lomas Shotgun’s scream “FU!” when you get on the pipe 🙂

Let’s look at some more pics shall we? Thank you! I don’t mind if I do.

Clean, tastefully modified, well sorted, definitely rare and most certainly one of a kind!

Step right up and don’t be shy (The Tubes 82′) –

1989 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 7 w/ only 4,973 miles! *No R required*

1989 Kawasaki ZX 7 For Sale on eBay!

Would you look at that clean and green H1 goodness! #Tasty

If you weren’t a fan of my last Homologation ZX-7R M1 post, perhaps this OG ZX-7 will tickle your green fancy pants at a clean and crisp $19,897.00 B.I.N. price 🙂

Not seeing any gooey chain lube sling-

Not seeing any significant heel marks-

Not seeing much in the way of custodian key chain marks-

Yup, it’s a clean green machine!

Back in 1989, these were pretty bad ass machines (sans the fake Hoover hoses). From the factory you could expect front and rear adjustable suspenders, massive 275mm front rotors, 105hp and 17″ wheels at both ends- sporting radial tires. I know, none of that seems impressive to modern day riders, but believe me when I tell you- All of that was cutting edge in 1989. However, the middleweight Ninja was a touch heavy at 450ish pounds.

Did I mention it has 2 round headlights and is neon green with some snazzy reflective stickers?

1993 Kawasaki Ninja ZX7R M1 w/ 6600 Miles For Sale on eBay!

Tim has asked we keep the comments closed on this post. While readers may be disappointed that this option is available to organic listings. I’d prefer to respect a seller’s wishes rather than not have this post on the site at all — especially an example this nice. Good luck to buyers and seller. -Dan

Now that we have the corporate attorney locked in the closet- Let’s roll!

You guessed it! It’s time for another addition of dd’s “90’s dual headlight and neon splash graphics homologation corner”.

1993 Kawasaki Ninja ZX7R M1 Homologation Super Bike For Sale!

Solo tail section, aluminum rear sub-frame, aluminum fuel tank, fully adjustable forks, remote reservoir rear shock, flat slide carbs, close ratio 6-speed transmission and an adjustable swing arm pivot. Did I miss anything? Oh wait, this M1 comes complete with a period correct Muzzy’s full header, Ohlins remote reservoir rear shock, Ohlins steering dampner and a crystal clear factory wind screen.
Hell, I’d bet the wind screen alone is worth $24,999! Okay, not really, but you get my point.

A few years back, I had a K1 and I loved it! Don’t even ask me why I sold my dream green machine. I’m still kicking myself in the ass for that bone head move!
I’ll come clean and tell you I did try to buy this one before it went live on our site, but for whatever reason, Tim, the seller, wouldn’t accept my abysmal $10,000 offer. Go figure!

From the seller:

I have decided to sell my M1 ZX7R. This bike is in exceptional condition runs great and is actually friendly on the street. If you are looking at this then you know, this has the flat slide carburetors, aluminum tank, and adjustable suspension, solo cowl. This M1 however is really well dialed in. I put a featherweight Lithium battery in it, it has a full Muzzy exhaust (loud, like the best way to hear one of these), Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins steering stabilizer, factory OEM windscreen (rare), and the fairings are factory Kawasaki. I also have the OEM factory exhaust for it as well. This is a rare bike and only a handful were brought in for homologation purposes to race AMA. I have a passion for collectible sport bikes but this one is not being ridden. Clear California title and registration in my name, come look at it in person, send a friend. Currently registered until January 2022. I will try to post up some pics of the exhaust but its been in storage in a cardboard box.

You see that extra hole in the fairing right next to the frame mounting point? That’s to make easy work adjusting the Keihin Flat Slide carbs without removing the fairing- Something the previous K1 and K2 models didn’t have (just a small tidbit of info).

Interested? Make the jump here before it’s gone!

Cheers!

1992 Honda NR 750 RC40-

1992 Honda NR 750 RC40 For Sale!

Full transparency- This one was tossed around the RSBFS.com headquarters as to whether or not it was a legit ad. When all was said and done, Mike and Donn took a step back and William . . . well, William was too busy looking for the Desitin to really get involved so, they threw the new guy to the wolves.

Is it Live or Memorex? I know some of you are too young to know what that is, but the majority of you will get it. Why am I asking that silly question?

Here is the info from the eBay listing:

From the seller:
For sale is HONDA NR 750 IN RED

YEAR 1992

For serious interest only.
Listing will be on for 7 days : if you are interested Please send messages.

A touch vague for a super rare motorcycle don’t you think? But wait there’s more . . . The seller has zero transactions on eBay. No worries- we all started at 0 on eBay. Right? Okay, maybe not 0 and selling Honda’s Holy Grail. The other interesting thing to note is normally these types of machines attract huge “watched” numbers, but this one is currently flying under the radar because (we assume) of the way it was listed/categorized on eBay.

Nonetheless! Let’s get this show on the road-

In 1992 Honda decided to flex it’s engineering muscle and finally produce a motorcycle with their long researched oval piston design. Obviously, such a task isn’t for the weak of heart or weak pocket books. It’s my understanding that Honda had been working on the oval piston design since the mid-seventies, but for whatever reason, never really pushed it for a production unit. That is of course until 1992 when they released the NR750 RC40 powered by the oval piston V4. Honda went all out with the NR750. Not only did it have oval pistons, it had titanium valves, and 2 titanium connecting rods per cylinder. If I’m not mistaken, the NR750 was also the first Honda equipped with “upside down” forks on a production unit. All of that wizardry didn’t make the NR750 the fastest or the lightest at almost 500#’s. However, that Honda wizardry did assemble one of “THE” most sought after motorcycles in the world. All of my exhaustive searches placed it in the number 2 spot of most desirable and collectable motorcycles- only being eclipsed by Martin’s beloved Britten V1000.

It is literally “Once in a blue moon” when these pop up for sale, but yet, here it is.

Did any of you all notice it’s missing the mirrors? I’m guessing those aren’t easy to locate so, I’m hoping the seller removed them as a precautionary measure.

This machine is the reason RSBFS.com exists.

Check out the unobtainable here!

Cheers!

1995 Aprilia RS250 w/ Heavy Mods For Sale!

Is it this one for $26,000?

or

Is it this one for $28,000?

PP comes to mind on this one . . . What’s that you ask? No, it’s not the laughable word you learned in 4th grade. PP = Price Point 🙂

I needed to look at it again- that is one bad ass RS! We can see radial Brembos hooked up to some tasty Ohlins out front and another piece of Ohlins hardware out back. The carbon Tyga bodywork is on another level along with Tyga rear-sets and Tyga exhaust. Tyga hardware always raises the WOW factor to 11 on my scale.

We all know the value of the add-ons and that shit ain’t cheap! But . . .

Kudos to Remy306 for knowing their way around a camera!

From one of the eBay listings-

aprilia rs250 full carbon tyga
-Tyga exhaust system
-Ohlins front end
-Brembo gp4 rx rcs19
-Crg clutch perch..

Thoughts? As I previously stated- I like it and like it a lot, but the Sir Ask-A-lot price will def raise some eyebrows. However, if you’re after a decked out antique track bike today is your lucky day!

1998 Yamaha YZF 750R For Sale!

1998 YZF 750R For Sale on eBay!

This looks to be a very good example of Yamaha’s original YZF platform with good miles and period correct light modifications that includes Vance and Hines SSR exhaust, fender eliminator kit and LP flush mount front directional indicators.

Back in the day, these were fairly popular in my area and for good reason. They offered good power, good handling, a top speed of 165mph, racer boy looks and all of Yamaha’s exhausted R&D under the fairings.
I know these sit below the iconic R7 on collectors list, but I feel they are deserving of a place at the table.
Since 98′ was the last year for this platform, it would fall under the “Bookend” for reasons to have one in your collection. Unless you’re like myself and only collect pennies and pocket lint- at that point you’d have to flog it like it owed you money.

The seller does a great job of highlighting the strong and not so strong points of their machine-

From the seller:
1998 Yamaha YZF-R 750. Very clean near original condition.
-Rear fender deleted, aftermarket front turn signals, rear seat cowl and Vance & Hines exhaust.
-All original paint and plastics in very nice glossy condition.
-Bike has never been down or damaged.
-Tires are like new and just changed oil and new plugs.

-Does have a small dent in tank that could probably be pulled and a very small crack in the backrest seat cushion.

-2 owner bike

I’m thinking with 16k on the clock you could enjoy and collect it at the same time. I suspect if you chose to ride it, you’d have no issue hanging with your buddies newer DuHonKaw rRRrRR 2000cc

1986 Kawasaki GPz 1000R NINJA For Sale!

Scrounging around on the auction site this evening I located this pretty good looking 86′ Kawasaki GPz1000R Ninja.

1986 Kawasaki Ninja 1000R For Sale on eBay!

Not too shabby eh?

These were only brought stateside for 3 years and competed for the same floor space as the earth shattering GPz900 (Think Kelly McGillis). While you have Kelly floating around in your grey matter, I’d like you to multitask and ask yourself “Would I rather have a GPz900 or a GPz1000R?”. Well, funny you should ask yourself that because the GPz900 out sold and out lasted the GPz1000R by a few years. Spec wise, they were both a little pudgy and both made decent horsepower, but only one of them was the first production motorcycle to touch 150mph and only one of them was in a pretty famous fighter pilot movie. Answer- it wasn’t the bike in this post.

I’m guessing we have a few viewers (cough, cough) around my age that have fond memories of mid-eighties, full fairing’d (That’s Indiana slang) sport bikes? Should you fall into my group you will definitely remember the BIG NINJA as a head turner. Looking at it now one of my favorite things is how the Kawasaki engineers eliminated our ability to stick on those ugly ass LP truck cab lights! Thank you 8# Baby Jesus!

If you’re not familiar with how this seller works their auctions you owe it to yourself to do a deep dive because you might land yourself a deal and a nice winter project.

Check out the big NINJA here-

Cheers!
