1985 Yamaha RZ350 For Sale on eBay!

1985 Yamaha RZ350 For Sale on eBay!

Make: Yamaha
Model: RZ350
Year: 1985
Mileage: 19,957
Price: $12,499 Bidding has been brisk so, don’t delay!

Sing it with me-

“On the radio was Springsteen, Madonna, way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie, and music still on MTV
His two kids in high school, they tell him that he’s uncool
‘Cause he’s still preoccupied with 19, 19, 1985”

Pretty fitting since our RSBFS world revolves around “What was missed and could have been” or in this case- a 1985 Yamaha RZ350.

We’ve seen several of these pop-up over the last few weeks. Everything from super low mileage, low mileage, red and white to yellow and black. No matter where we go- RZ350’s always draw a crowd and for a (obvious) good reason- That intoxicating castor oil drifting through the air . . . Whoops! That’s my fantasy!

Because of the classic styling and great color combos, RZ’s are always sure to please and this one is on target. I personally prefer the red and white version over the “Angry Bees” yellow and black version. No real reason- I just like the it better. I’ve scoured the photos several times and all I can report are a few chips on the sharp edge around the bikini headlight fairing. The motor looks like it could use a good scrubbing, but certainly nothing to scoff at on a 37 year old machine with almost 20,000 miles.

From the listing
I have for sale this Yamaha rz 350 Kenny Roberts. I bought it from the original owner’s family after his death.
The bike is in pristine condition, never been abused, kept in climate control environment since i bought it.
It starts right away and runs very good.
I got it with a set of Tommey racing exhaust chambers but I have the original set of exhaust that will go with the bike.

*Toomey

Mileage: 2 6,149
Price: six 2 fiddy
Number of bikes list for sale in the auction: 2 (maybe)

#2 For Sale on eBay!

Runs excellent and been stored in a heated shop. Based upon research done and speaking with two Honda dealerships, this bike is very likely the 2nd bike produced for the North American market! Performance upgrades and parts- Honda Yoshimura High Mount Pipes and Power Commander.

Now that you’ve put your eyes on the full size and the Mini-Moto RC51 what are your thoughts? Oh! Did you notice my 2 themed intro? Just in case you skimmed over it- here are 2 tasty hi-mount exhaust pipes for your viewing pleasure.

Did you feel like Matt Mladin looking at that photo? Too much? 🙂

All jokes aside- those are some tasty looking hi-mounts!

The seller doesn’t say if the mini-moto and crue shirt are included, but one can only assume they are since they’re pictured.

Admittedly, this RC is well used when compared to some of the other recent RSBFS.com RC posts, but the other recent posts can’t lay claim to being the #2 RC51 produced in 2004. What’s that worth to ya? If you answered “nothing!” then perhaps you could throw on the Merlyn Plumlee (RIP) shirt, crack open a cold snack and watch your toddler act a fool on the mini-moto.

If this RC51 tickles your fancy and the mini-moto puts a gleam in your little ones eye make the jump and place your bid!

Check them out here!

Cheers!

1989 Honda NT650 Hawk GT For Sale on eBay!

Location: Plainfield, Illinois
Make: Honda
Model: Hawk NT650
Mileage: 5,285
Price: $6,000 B.I.N.

From the seller:
1989 Honda Hawk GT 650
1 owner
In storage since 1995 brought out in 2021
Runs and drives
Clean body not one ounce of rust

Pretty darned spiffy- don’t you agree?

Honda Hawk’s are always a crowd pleaser and this one shouldn’t disappoint the fan boys and fan girls. Even though the seller is vague on details, the less than adequate photos can tell us a little bit more. The seller states it was in storage for roughly 25 years (ouch!), but was recently (assumed) brought back to life for the “headlight on” photo op.

Since the seller didn’t say- all potential buyers must assume a whole lot of rubber bits will need replaced like tires, radiator hoses and fork seals just to name a few, as well as a few metal bits such as a chain, perhaps some cables and bearings? Of course we’d like to see the inside of the fuel tank and perhaps a little more info on how it was stored because you know . . . Lacquer and all that yucky stuff.

However, the seller does state “Not one ounce of rust!” and the photos (when zoomed in) support that comment. You *may have to spend a few pennies, some time and a few beers bringing it up to road worthiness, but it appears you would have an amazing base to start with. The frame is oxidation free, the paint still shines and I don’t see any body damage.

While standing around the corporate offices yesterday one of our more distinguished employees made the comment “Better pictures would be worth one thousand more on the B.I.N. price!”

What do you all think?
-Buy it and ride it?
-Buy it and sit on it while making vroom, vroom noises?
-Buy it, fix it and sell it?

Where ever your thoughts land you can Make the jump here-

Cheers,

1985 Yamaha RZ350 with only 10 miles For Sale!

1985 Yamaha RZ350 For Sale on eBay!

Make: Yamaha
Year: 1985
Model: RZ350
Location: Byron, California
Mileage: 10. Ten. X. Diez.
Price: $30,000 BIN with a current bid of $12,200

From the seller:
10 mile original bike still on mso. This is a one of a kind bike. The only bike better would still be in the crate. This bike has been sitting inside a house for over 35 years.

Alright, people. Here’s your chance to buy a brand new, 10 original mile, 1985 1/2 RZ-350, California model.

Bike has never been registered, still on the MSO from Yamaha. It comes with the original toolkit and owner’s manual, neither of which have ever been opened. The original pre-delivery checklist comes with the warranty card still attached. Brand new brochure is also included.

This bike is completely stock, not a dent or a scratch in it. The bike is dusty from sitting, but I don’t think you could find a knick or a scratch on it. It has never been dropped and it has been inside a climate-controlled environment for over 35 years. It’s like the bike just left the factory.

No modifications of any kind have been done on this bike. All nuts, bolts, and paintwork look new. No oxidation anywhere. Chain still has a little cosmoline on it. Tires are free of cracks and wear. They still have nubs. Tires are even filled with the original Japanese air. Brakes are not frozen.

This RZ-350 would be perfect for any museum. I cannot stress enough the amazing condition this bike is in. The only way you could find a cleaner one, is if you found one still in the crate.

I would be happy to take pictures of any aspect of the bike, or answer any questions you may have.

And there you have it- all original right down to the Japanese air in the original tires. Sign me up!

I’m not gonna bore you all the techy specs, years offered, rake angles, tires sizes, power outputs or fancy nicknames. You’ve read it a million times on our site, but just in case you’re bored and want a refresher you can have a look HERE

This is the real deal. A 37 year old 2 stroke, time capsule that you will probably never see again unless it comes up for sale again. I know I’m being all “mellow dramatic”, but it’s the truth. I’ll even make a prediction- As soon as this post goes live it’ll be sold within a day or two. Don’t believe me? Think it’s too much for a RZ? SHOW. ME. ANOTHER. ONE. LIKE. IT!

Click fast because this one won’t last!

Cheers!

Up for your consideration is another bad ass NSR from the Boyz at Speedwerks. These guys never cease to amaze me with the quality bikes they crank out and this one is no exception.

That is the view your buddies should get accustomed to seeing after you pick this one up-

Steve says:
Honda MC21 NSR250R
Great rider that shows really well.
14k on the clock.
This machine is SUPER Clean with no corrosion. Previous owner spent a lot of time and money on the chassis, powder coated wheels, sub-frame and triple tree’s.
It comes with a fresh top end on the engine and is ready to ride.
TYGA Performance exhaust system, new Pirelli tires and upgraded suspension.
This is an R model with a real nice paint job.
Something you could collect and rock on the weekends, track day, race in WERA Motorcycle Roadracing or AHRMA Next Gen Super Bike Light.
Full service and safety check preformed.
New engine has been heat cycled and broken in.
$12,500 including delivery in the continental USA.

The pictures echo Steve’s description to a T! No corrosion to be seen and extreme care was taken by the previous owner when they freshened it up. You can ride this one and not worry because the engine is fresh, heat cycled and ready to pin the throttle.

I’ve owned a few NSR’s and I can assure you they are an absolute hoot to ride- there really is nothing quite like a road going 2 stroke. I can only imagine the attention you’d attract on a race-replica smoker with those stacked Tyga’s!

Interested? Hit up Steve at steve@speedwerks.com or (302) 672-7223 and he’ll take good care of you.

Feature Listing – 2014 KTM 1190 RC8-R For Sale!

Update 2.8.2022: SOLD to an RSBFS reader! Congratulations! -dc

2014 KTM 1190 RC8-R For Sale!

Location: Northern California
Make: KTM
Model: RC8-R
Displacement: 1190 V-Twin
Mileage: 8,144
Price: $14,000 $13,500.

Steve Says:
I am the 3rd Owner and purchased the bike a year ago from a private party. He had purchased the motorcycle in 2017 from EuroCycle in Las Vegas, Nevada

Near Flawless condition and extremely well-cared for with low Mileage at 8,144. The motorcycle runs and rides perfectly. Next service due in 2,257 miles. The motorcycle currently has Motorex 5W 40 Power Synt engine oil.

Modifications Include:
TechSpec tank protection
Wave Rotors Front and Rear
CRG Mirrors
Vortex Racing Levers
Puig light smoke Windscreen
Ohlins steering stabilizer
Integrated front turn signals, tail tidy with relocated rear turn signals.
KTM rear pillion buttons
Shorai battery (1.5 years old)
Baxley front wheel chock included

New Pirelli Diablo Rosso lll tires with less than 300 miles on them. Date codes are 4020 and 4720. Both Tires and Rear Wave rotor/brake pads installed in August, 2021.

Original brake and clutch levers, windscreen, mirrors and rear license plate bracket included along with owners manual and one key.

Up for your consideration is an extremely clean and subtly modified RC8-R. The seller has done a perfect job of cleaning up the tail, adding some wind protection and upping the stopping power with Galfer Wave rotors.

Most of the factory parts were retained and are included in the sale.

You can see this machine has been well cared for and detailed regularly. I don’t think you will find a cleaner used bike anywhere on the market- This is truly impressive!

In 2014, the RC8-R was still a relative newcomer to the Super Bike World however, KTM didn’t let their newness stand in their way. They kept pushing the development until the plug was pulled in 2015. They equipped the RC8-R with WP suspension, a stout 1190 V-Twin motor putting out 175bhp and an eye popping 95 lb ft of torque at 8,000rpm’s, mono-block Brembos, massive 320mm floating front discs and my favorite- an adjustable seat height!

I’m certain we’ll see the RC8-R’s gracing our pages in the near future as “highly collectable” Super Bikes with matching price tags, but until that day arrives- consider this your golden ticket to your future Super Bike collection.

1990 HONDA CB-1 For Sale w/ only 12,194 miles

1990 HONDA CB-1 For Sale on eBay!

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Make: Honda
Model: CB-1
Displacement: 400cc
Mileage: 12,194
Price: $4,250 RNM

1990 Honda CB-1 excellent condition 12,194 original miles newer Michelin tires no issues

WOW! 32 years old and looking damn fine if I do say so myself!

Not me, silly- the CB-1! Besides I’m sitting squarely in my fif. . . I mean my mid-life crises stage and will be placing a bid on this one as soon as I finish babbling on about it.

Let’s a take a serious look at this one- shall we?

I’m still in awe of this little CB-1. I’m guessing it’s because we regularly see so many neglected machines with 500 miles look dirty AF.
I see a little oxidation on the side panels, but again, we see a lot more on than this on a regular basis. Hopefully I don’t need to remind you of the fact you’re looking at what appears* to be an un-restored 32 year old machine.

These weigh in just a touch under 400#’s, produce 56ish HP, a paltry 27 lbft of torque and utilize a single front and rear disc to keep all that power and torque in check. I know it’s a little heavy for being a small displacement motorcycle, but it wasn’t built or intended to burn up the race track. These were built for and are perfect commuter bikes with a comfy riding position.

These hit the showroom floor with a MSRP $4,299 and as you can imagine, they went over like a Led Zeppelin. Even though it didn’t make a splash back in the 90’s the little CB-1 has RSBFS.com and myself to keep it’s flickering flame alive and well.

Any other CB-1 fans out there? If so, do not click through this link because I’ve set it up to take you straight to one of those unspeakable websites 😉

Cheers!

1995 Ducati 916 with only 18 miles for sale!

Well H E L L! Take 2! It’s back for more, screaming with a vengeance and with a $60,000.00 B.I.N. price tag this time around.

1995 Ducati 916 with only 18 miles for sale!

It appears to be in the same 27 year old and untouched condition just as it was back in December. The December auction ended early and the last bid recorded was $14,000. I doubt that’s what it originally sold for, but you’re free to let the imagination run on this one.

Ciao!

Doug

Well, H E L L! I had this one almost ready to go, then our server decided it was time for an update. That little delay caused me to delay posting it this morning only to return to finish the post and find out the auction was pulled. I think it’s still worth a post so, here it is-

18 mile 1995 Ducati 916 For Sale on eBay

Well, well- what do we have here? Do you think Massimo would be proud to see this or shake his head in disgust? I’m going with the later because I know he painstakingly engineered the 916 to Carl Fogarty’s standards and he rode and beat on his 916 like it owed him money. Okay, cool your batteries, we all know that Massimo didn’t design it for Foggy- that was just some dumb stuff I made up. But, I know we all have some fond memories of Foggy on a 95′ 916. Right?

From the seller
Ducati 916 with 18 original miles, The exterior paint, plastics, seat, exhaust, plastics are perfect (headlights are foggy but clean up). This bike needs a few hours of detailing and possibly replacement of a few small parts to be museum quality. This bike was placed into storage in a barn that was not properly conditioned and humidity affected some of the metal parts. 4 of the dzuz fasteners towards the bottom of the fairings have oxidation, Some of the bolts on the front rotor and the rotor itself have oxidation. The metal fittings on the front brake line also display oxidation. There is a small bubble on the clutch cover where the paint is peeling and another bubble hidden behind the back shock area that is difficult to photo. There was a very, very small spot on one of the wheels that I cannot find again but I know it’s there somewhere because I noticed when I bought the bike. All of the electronics, engine, transmission work properly and I have video of the bike running. This bike is part of my collection which I am starting to sell.

I think this image tells the story of this low mileage 918 916- It shows how it was improperly stored and it shows that it is a real deal 18 mile machine.
Like some, but not all RSBFS.com readers, I find low mileage machines, of any age, very intriguing. I think I find them intriguing because they make me wonder “why?”. In this case, I ask “Why did someone mothball a second year base model 916?”. The naysayers will scream “It’s a base model and doesn’t belong on your site!”. My threshold is simple- Can I find another one? Therefore, I clap back with a resounding “NO!”.

More from the seller
I hate buying and selling because the internet is full of idiots. I have tried to give the best possible description of the bike. Again, it is not perfect but with very minimal effort it will be.

Preach it Brother!

I intentionally sat on this one for a few days because I wanted to see how much action and price it would command. It currently sits at $14,000 with 8 bids placed and the reserve firmly in place.
What’s it going to take?

I know it’s a dead horse and I’m sure you folks are tired of reading it, but PICTURES! PICTURES! PICTURES! If the paint is perfect- show it! If the wheels are perfect- SHOW IT! I suspect this machine would attract a few more dollars with a proper detail and photos.

What do you all think? Let’s discuss it.

Ciao!

Doug
