1989 YAMAHA FZR 1000

1989 YAMAHA FZR 1000 for sale with super low miles!!!

Location: Detroit, MI area
Price: $3750
Mileage: 5152 original miles

I stumbled across this one just by chance this morning while looking for something else and I just couldn’t help myself- so here it is.

These were bad ass back in the day and I would venture to say they can still hold their own with today’s bikes. The 1989 FZR1000’s were much improved over the 1988 versions. One of the more noticeable differences was the addition of a 5.5″ x 17″ rear wheel. The 88’s used a FZR 400 sized 4.5″ x 18″ rear wheel and as you can imagine were no match for the 1000cc 145hp monster motor.

There is a ton of information regarding the FZR1000’s located here so be sure and check it out. This one looks like a true survivor.

Factory pearl white paint with red/blue/black graphics and stripes. Get a bike that nobody else has! Not many around like this, anymore.

Near Excellent ORIGINAL STOCK condition, a few scrapes on side LH plastic body panel becasue it fell over once or twice.
The RH has some scratches from the metal lugs on work boots rubbing on it.
No cracks in farings. There are 3 or 4 small paint chips on the gas tank, but no dents.
Some of the white paint is flaking off the rims. Rims could use a paint job.
Original windscreen is clear with original factory decal. Has some stress cracks from vibration but not noticeable.
I am the 3rd owner and always adult owned. Bike has been in storage since 2004.
The only thing on this bike that is not stock is a brand new K&N Perforamce air filter element.
Brand new battery this year. New factory Yamaha fuel petcock and strainer (old one was leaking).
Seat is in perfect shape. One tiny stress split on the vinyl underneath and you cannot see it.

1993 Honda NSR 250 SP

1993 Honda NSR 250 SP for sale

Location: Monroe, Georgia
Price: 5,000 with reserve on
Mileage: 14,000

Saw this one on eBay and know that we have several followers who lust after these. This is probably the closest I’ve ever seen one to me and probably isn’t too far from Ian.

Pimped out in Tyga bodywork that has been painted to factory colors. The pictures really look good and I love the green number plates.

Check it out:

Here’s a great deal to pick up a GP replica. I’ve owned this ’93 Honda NSR250 SP (2 stroke) for about 8-9 years now. It is TITLED in the state of GA. The odometer is currently showing 23K kilometers. I just don’t ride it very much anymore and need the space in the garage. This is a rare chance to own a true classic. Getting one titled these days is almost unheard of as this bike was never imported into the U.S.

The bike has Sportec M-1 tires, Ohlins steering damper, Tyga Eyes front fairing painted in stock colors with a Tyga front fender. The airbox has been modified and the carbs rejetted to suit. Aftermarket chambers (unknown brand) w/ carbon end cans. The front end has adjustable MC28 SE front forks w/ CBR929 Nissin calipers. There is a matching rear caliper. Braided front brake lines. The engine has been derestricted using an HRC box which has been carefully wired in so you can change it back to stock in just minutes. Probably more things that I’m not remembering at the moment.

The bike has no issues (never has). Just needs a rider.

2006 Ducati Paul Smart 1000LE For Sale in Orange County

Here’s a really sharp and practically untouched Paul Smart with less than 300 miles on Craigslist for $14000:

2006 Ducati Paul Smart For Sale

quote from seller’s listing:

Collector quality Paul Smart with only 298 miles. Come with all books, keys, bike stand, bike cover, original exhaust, original rear license plate fender. Not a scratch and as new. Never been registered.

Price is a little stiff considering these aren’t too hard to find, but it’s tough to argue with the miles.

1989 Honda NSR250 In Northern California

This is a California titled and registered MC18 NSR250!

Bike: 1989 Honda NSR250(R)

Price: $5,000 USD

Location: Vallejo, California

Mileage: 23,000km (14,291mi)

This seller states that this bike has never been down and is registered for road use.  The seller also states that the only thing that isn’t original on this bike is a fairing that was replaced but, it looks to have been repainted and has a solid windscreen.  The bike does have 23,000km.  The seller states “I am asking $5,000 OBO, I am aware that it is worth a lot more…”; From the MC18’s we’ve seen, this bike is priced quite high in regards to condition but, it does have a California title so it’s worth looking into.  See the other MC18 posts here.  See this bike on Craigslist here.

2002 Triumph Daytona 955i Centennial Edition in IL

2002 Triumph Daytona 955i Centennial Edition in IL

Here is something a little different.  1 of 200 made.   The CE edition differs from the standard 955i in several ways:

Aston Green color which is was only availabe on the CE

Some carbon bits including a hugger and tank inlays

Single sided swing arm

Forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons.  Result is more hp compared to the standard 955i

This might be a nice opportunity to pick up a limited edition bike with some nice upgrades at a very reasonable price.  The seller is asking $4700 and the bike is listed on Craigslist.

1977 Yamaha TZ250 Restoration Project In Virgina

This is a TZ250D in Virgina that needs  to be rescued!

Bike: 1977 Yamaha TZ250D

Price:  $3,500 USD

Location:  Roanoke, Virgina

The seller only states that this bike last raced in the late ’80’s and has been sitting since.  Looking at the photos it looks to be in quite good shape–pictures can be deceiving–and just might need a mechanical restoration if you’d like to keep the original look.  These bikes were very competitive in the ’70’s and still make great vintage machines with good parts availability if you know where to look.  See the bike on Craigslist here.

1999 Aprilia RS250 Clean!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: Denver, CO
Mileage: 1710 (!)
Price: $6,000.00

If you’ve been waiting for a clean and super duper low mileage RS your bike has come in. Only 155 miles per year have preserved this RS very nicely- wouldn’t you agree? There’s just something about the ‘hunt’ and when I find something like this it gets me all amp’d up for the next one.

The listing:

VERY little use, 2752 km (1710 mi) original on odometer. NEVER RACED OR CRASHED!!!! PERFECT condition. Includes factory spares kit, factory repair manual, and rear stand. This bike has a title but is NOT street legal. This is a dedicated track/race bike. You will not find a cleaner RS250 anywhere, most have been raced, crashed, thrashed, and rebuilt. This one is all original!!! $6000 More pics (higher resolution) available
