In 2001 Ducati was at the height of the their domination in Super Bike racing. They were also making some of the best Homologation Super Bikes on the planet and the 748R was one of them.
Like new, new battery, tires, current registration and title in hand.
Some of the highlights of the 748R are-
-Adjustable steering head
-106hp up from the standard 97hp
-Ohlins at both the front and rear
-5 Spoke Marchesini wheels
Up front you can see the working end of the Ohlins forks and the huge 320mm full floating rotors. Of course there are the usual pair of 4 pot caliper Brembos squeezing the 320’s to haul the 748R to a stop. This 748R also sports a tasty set of Leo Vince slip-ons that conduct their business on the other end.
From the view in my cheap seats Ducati has yet to top the Tamburini design and the 748R has become a timeless classic in only 10 years removed from production. If you’ve been looking for a great, low mileage Homologation Ducati that has been well cared for now is your time to act.
