2008 Aprilia RSV Factory w/1060 engine built by AMA’s KWS Motorsports

Awhile back, we posted race bikes offered by KWS (3 – 2009 Aprilia RSV1000R Factory race bikes for sale!) but some of you might be looking for something you can use for the street. Well, here is your answer: 2008 KWS RSV1060R Factory for $13,498.

This Aprilia is brand new but KWS went ahead and installed a new big-bore 1060 engine. Don’t let the 145 HP fool you, this is not the over-inflated number you would typically see on a bike night dyno. Chip from KWS says “It would not have been fair to let us run that motor [in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Series]. Our race motors made almost his much power with stock bore…..with another 10hp and our chassis it would have been a slaughter.”

More information from the seller:

1060cc KWS CP Pistons
KWS CNC Pro Heads
KWS Web Cam Camsafts
LeoVince Full System
PowerCommander PCIIIUSB
K&N Air Filter
KWS Tuned
53 Dyno Miles only!!!!

Considering all you would be getting for less than the MSRP of a base RSV, you should not overlook this one.

Doug Chandler’s 2007 ZX-10 AMA Superbike on ebay!

Everything looks to be authentic on this ex-AMA racer. This baby is sitting and being offered, for what I would think is a steal, at $8,500 B.I.N.! The spares package alone is worth more than half of the B.I.N. price. The seller has posted up numerous pictures for your consideration. I posted up half of them below. Even if your not interested in buying an AMA racer you shold go look at the spares this one is being sold with.

Seller says:

1998 Honda CBR600F3 SE Smokin’ Joe Edition

Now, I know, generally CBRs aren’t rare at all but a Smokin’ Joe Ed. is somewhat rare and this is supposedly the first ’98.  Located in Morgan Hill, California is a clean looking 1998 CBR600F3.  The seller only states that: “This bike is CLEAN. Low miles, new tires, upgraded exhaust…This bike was the FIRST Smokin Joe EVER made, VIN shows ..001”  This last part isn’t entirely true but it may be the first 1998 SE–with the probable VIN of JH2PC253*WM750001.  The seller is asking $5,000.  If you’re a collector or just looking for something different, this might be worth a look.  See the ad on Craigslist here.

Racebike – 2007 Honda CBR 600RR Formula Xtreme on ebay

AMA’s Formula Xtreme is now defunct but this Honda is not. It is a 2007 Honda CBR 600RR racebike that was “prep-ridden” by Aaron Gobert and has lots of go-fast goodies. Is :

You might ask, what qualified as a Formula Xtreme machine. Well, here is the answer from Wikipedia:

In order to be successfully entered in a Formula Xtreme event, motorcycles must be homologated. They must also be of a model type that is designed and legal for street use in the United States and is available from retail dealerships in the U.S.

Although liberal by the standards of the other classes in the AMA Superbike Series, Formula Xtreme rules still limit the modifications that may be made to a motorcycle to be entered in a Formula Xtreme event. The rules specify what changes are and are not permitted, including modification or replacement of various engine internals, transmission components, and other non-powertrain components of the vehicle such as the suspension, wheels, frame, swingarm, bodywork, wheels, etc. The rules also specify mimimum weight limits, allowable fuel types, which production components must be left in place and rules for availability of non-stock components from the manufacturer. Lastly, the type of engine (displacement and configuration) is governed by a set of guidelines that attempts to bring technical diversity to the class by establishing technical limitations that allow different technologies to remain competitive. For example, air/oil-cooled twin-cylinder engines are allowed a larger displacement limit. There are also differences in allowed modifications to engine internals depending on the engine configuration, again to encourage technical diversity in the class by ensuring that motorcycles with different engine configurations remain competitive.

Formula Xtreme has since been replaced by the AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship.

Suzuki October 31, 2009 posted by

Would you like to ride the same bike as your hero?

Located in Northern California are three AMA superbikes.  See description below:

3 Yoshimura Suzuki AMA superbikes

Please be aware that two of the three have all of the data logging, traction control, and race instrument clusters removed. This drops the price considerably. Due to the current AMA roadracing rules, Yoshimura Suzuki bought these bikes from a dealership before converting them to race bikes. So they have proper VIN, registration, and titles! So in essence, one could convert these 200+ HP Superbikes into streetbikes if they wanted.

The last bike listed is Mat Mladin’s race bike, as is, with all the insane factory race bits still on the bike. As a matter of fact, the tires are still the same ones still on this bike as last raced.

Due to the new homologation rules of the AMA Superbike series, Yoshimura Suzuki started out the 2009 season using 2008 bikes. So though these are ’08 models, they were only built back at the beginning of this year, just in time to start the 2009 race season. This is the real deal. Factory spec full on superbikes.

What would could be cooler than showing up to Alice’s on a Desmo?  Mat Mladin’s bike would have to be right up there.

2004 Honda RC51 Nicky Hayden Edition with only 2135 miles on ebay

Here is a 2004 Honda RC51. What’s so special about a Honda you might say? Well, this is a not just a standard RC51 – it is a 2004 Honda RC51 Nicky Hayden Edition signed by its namesake. If you may recall, Nicky Hayden won the 2002 AMA Superbike Championship aboard a RC51 prior to being promoted to MotoGP (and went on to when the MotoGP Championship in 2006).

What else is special besides this dude’s signature? According to Wikipedia, the Nicky Hayden differs “from previous models by a polished aluminum frame and swing arm, a sticker kit, and white number plates on the front upper fairing and tail fairing.”

2004 RC51 Nicky Hayden Edition for sale

Additional information form the ebay listing:

You are bidding on a 2004 Honda RC51 Nicky Hayden Edition that has only 2135 miles on it. I am listing this bike for a good friend of mine. This bike is perfect and is new in every way, never any accidents or laid down in any way. Honda did not make that many of the Hayden bikes, so here is your chance to own one. The bike needs nothing and is ready for the road……….it comes with a matching helmet and back seat.

I do not know where the reserve is set but this is an almost new example down to the rear fender and reflectors. Not that I have ever owned a RC51, I do wish Honda would have continued development of their V-Twin sportbikes. Same with Suzuki’s TL1000R…

2004 Honda RVT1000R (VTR1000R) RC51 Nicky Hayden

Located in Los Angeles, is a 2004 (SP2) Honda RVT1000R with two original miles! Normally, I wont post RC51s–regardless of how much I like them–because they are quite prevalent but this one is quite special at two original miles. The bike has a new battery and a recent tune-up. The bike comes with the back seat, sticker kit, and tool kit. The seller is looking for all the money at–the original MSRP of–$11,599. I have seen a few 2005-2006 (The OTHER paint scheme, but the last two years) with under 5k miles for around $8,000; but this bike is quite special being a desirable SP2 with two miles . If you’re an odometer snob, this bike is for you (I’d still like to see the odometer however, as most bikes are delivered with around twenty miles). The bike still even has its original brake light, license plate mount, and curb feelers; I hate the rear fender eliminators! See this bike on Craigslist here.
