DUCATI 999S PARTS UNLIMITED EDITION W/1 Whole Mile on Ebay
Well I’ve heard of garage queens but this is a new one, a den queen. This 999s has been living the life of luxury for the past few years. Maybe you’ve been looking for a big red conversation piece or a chance to ride a brand new “old bike”; well that oppurtunity has arrived. The seller is even tempting you with the hint that the reserve is not all that high.
He says:
Up for auction is my 2007 Ducati 999S Parts Unlimited Edition . This bike is brand new with only 1 mile on it from the factory. This bike is completely stock & has not a scratch on it & spends it’s life on a battery tender in my den. It comes with 3 keys, 2 black & 1 red, all manuals & the rest of the sticker kit. Ducati only built 150 of these bikes that were signed by Ben Bostrom & Neil Hodgson when they were team mates racing in AMA superbike. I’ve listed this bike 2 prior times & came close to the reserve both times, (hopefully 3rd time is a charm!). Brand new in 2007 this bike retailed for $20,000. 3 years later it’s still brand new & I’m listing it with a low reserve. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me. I do have the bike listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early.
Showroom fresh:
The bidding looks pretty active so far. The auction started at $1,000 and is up around $9,000 as of this writing. I’m sure it will have a ways to go to meet the reserve. I know all the Ducati race replicas are sought after but where does this one rank compared to say a Xerox or Bayliss replica? My guess would be just a slight step down since the bike didn’t have quite the sparkling race history here in the United States as it did overseas. Race history aside this looks like a good oppurtunity to pick one up that really hasn’t turned a wheel; outside of a den that is. Check out the auction here and don’t let some local beat you to it.
