This is a very nice Ducati 996 SPS with very low miles! Located in Queens, New York is a 2000 Ducati 996 SPS with 215 original miles. This is the same seller as the 916 SPS and states about that this 996 has:
NO CHIPS/SCRATCHES
ALL BILLETED
DUCATI RACING PARTS
REAR SET ADJUSTABLE
CARBONCANS
CLUTCH & LEVERS
BILLET MIRRORS
SIGNAL LIGHTS
ADJUSTABLE FRONT FORKS
CARBON FENDERS (FRONT AND REAR)
Ducati made chassis improvements to the SPS version of the 996 to help differentiate from the 996 base which included Ohlins fully adjustable USD TiN forks and a Ohlins progressive rear shock–the ’99MY featured Showa front forks and Ohlins for ’00. The SPS also features Marchesini magnesium wheels. This is a serious performer with stiff suspension and equally stiff replacement costs should you bin anything. The asking price is $24,000 just $1k higher than the 916 SPS this seller also has. See this bike on Craigslist here.
This looks to be a 2000 996 SPS but it is not a 996 SPS PISTA. The seller does not state that it is a Pista. Only 150 Pista variants were made for the world and they carry different decals and their own numbered plaque. Nice bike, high kite.
[…] world competition. The asking price for this bike is $17,500; a very good price compared to the 2000 996R/SPS we posted just a couple days ago. See this bike on Ducati.ms […]
Djani,
Thank you for the clarification, I’ve corrected the ad.
