This looks like a nice survivor. It’s a Goldilocks of sorts. As always, the question is, “Is this Goldilocks for me?”
It’s fast and fun, but not too fast. It’s vintage and rare, but not too rare. It’s not an early sportbike, but it is transitional. It looks like it has not been crashed…
The seller has a video on the FB ad so you can hear it and see the whole bike. Looks like there is one small blemish on the right side.
I feel like I’m working at the SPCA. This FZR is purring and looking for a new owner.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
Interesting. First I am a huge fan of FZRs. I have had several 400s and 600s. Had alot of fun on them including a V&H replica edition. I Regret selling them all, even if I would not ride them as much as my CBR of that era. Second- the red/white/ blue ’93 were pretty rare in the color split I believe as most were the purple/ blue/ black. Hate to say it but that was the one I wanted when i was 19! Those white wheels sure look like they need a good cleaning, but realistically probably need to be powdercoated white again to look minty. Rare that these have the OEM rear fender and turn signals intact, and mirrors. But suprisingly those are not that hard to find to replace even in 2025. My biggest concern with this one example the front cowl is missing the blue/ red stripes, not sure why these were removed. Usually that would mean the original was cracked and the OEM replacement required purchasing the stripe graphics separately if I recall. Definitely does not look better without them IMOH. Seat cowl is also missing graphics but a plus to even have it. But $7000?!!! You could find a similar year/ condition FZR1000 for that. That is more than what these went for new back in 1993 I believe. If it was perfect and had almost zero miles. Free market, get after it. But for $7000 there are lots of CBR F2/ F3 in just as good of condition out there that are far better bikes.
