I have 1998 Yamaha yzf1000. Bike is all original has 13k witch is nothing for these bike seen multiple with over 100k on them. Its a 27 year old bike it is in very good condition mechanically perfect could use levers and the plastics are fading a little. Clean title would consider trades depending on what you have. Can get a video of it running if you need. I’m asking 4,800$.

The Thunderace model was not sold new in the US in 1998, so this is either a left-over from 1997 that was titled in 1998 or it was originally purchased in Canada or Europe.
This FB ad does not give us many photos, but the bike seems to be in nice condition and worthy of a closer look.

Really great bikes, comfortable and underrated. Pre R1 with no downside.
I had a Thundercat BITD, and had the chance to pick up one of these (upgrade!), but decided against it because it ‘only’ had a 5 speed gearbox. I wish now that I’d given it a go.
one of the last “do it all” sportbikes…part of the shock of the R1 which came out the next year was how far it was away from this bike. I love me some R1 especially in the red and white but to be honest if I could I would the R1 in a garage to appreciate and ride the nuts off one of these
