1982 HONDA CB1100R Homologation Superbike For Sale
Location: Camarillo, CA
Mileage: 15,710
Price: Active bid
All of our Honda fans can rejoice and thank their respective gods. CB1100R’s don’t come around very often for good reason. The big CB’s were only made available for 3 years and to my knowledge, where only offered in Europe and Australia.
In scouring the net for information on this bike I decided that it looks very large and the specs proved me correct. Weighing in at a stout 525# dry this air cooled beast sports an aluminum petrol tank, steel frame, solo tail section, 18″ hoops on both the front and rear and a claimed 115hp. Obviously, that is nothing stellar by today’s standards, but back when I was finding out girls didn’t have cooties those numbers warrant a ‘Homologation Special’ badge.

So, most of you will quickly point out that this one is not original and has a few mods. I say “So what!” because these are as rare as any stateside. I agree in that the PM calipers take away from the originality of the bike, but these were purpose built machines and that purpose lends itself to modifications.
You can find some information here and a little more here.
Cheers!
