Chris is no stranger to the Suzuki GSXR. He is passionate about the make and his listings showcase a deep understanding of how to improve them in subtle but meaningful ways. The example here today is yet another example of his attention to detail. One could be mistaken to overlook it as just another modified GSXR. Many dismiss any departure from original. That really is unfair and really misses a major part of the appeal of the GSXR line of bikes. Seemingly from inception, these bikes have been modified. The trick is to modify them in such a way as to enhance the already stellar performance.
This bike features some top tier motor work, suspension to match and proper brakes to keep everything in check. For less than a new bike would cost, someone is going to get all of the benefits of a new bike, but all wrapped up in a vintage wrapper.
While there is no shortage of people attempting to play in the custom motorcycle space, there are few places that are more than just a flash in the pan. It takes skill, knowledge, confidence and a deep understanding of the machines and what is possible to keep a shop running and supplying builds to many customers. GSXROnly has been able to do all of that for over 34 years. The subtle details of this bike make all the difference. Too often custom bikes are overdone. One aspect of the build dominates the rest. Striking a balance is hard, but this bike really nails the concept of OEM Plus. The use of OEM parts as upgrades is wonderful in a bike like this. Every seamlessly blends together into a very appealing package. This bike would be suited for everything from a featured piece in a collection, to someone’s garage that lusted after one of these when new. The thought that went into this build yielded a motorcycle that is epic to look at and one can only imagine that it would perform equally as well out on the opened road.
