2023 was a very big year for Ducati’s motorsports efforts. In case you hadn’t heard: they basically won… everything. With their days as a scrappy underdog long behind them, the company took home the MotoGP, World Superbike, and World Supersports titles, and commissioned a number of race-replica roadbikes to commemorate their successes. This 2024 Ducati Panigale V4 Bagnaia Replica features the striking colors and Lenovo graphics that adorned Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia’s 2023 MotoGP championship-winning machine, although the bike is otherwise a relatively standard Panigale V4S, with a tasty Akrapovic exhaust, probably unnecessary but definitely cool dry clutch conversion, and a bunch of bolt-on carbon-fiber and titanium farkles. And, naturally, that 1103cc 90° V4 producing a claimed 210hp…

Well, that’s a pretty brief listing, but I guess not much more needs to be said. It’s a brand new bike, and just one of 263 built in this livery and specification. Chances are, anyone looking at, and serious about, this bike already knows all about it. I’m not the biggest fan of race-replicas, but there are exceptions for me, and this is one of them. I honestly have a soft spot in my heart for yellow Ducatis, and I think it’s unfortunate that the company took a bit of a break from making them. It’s also a shame these limited-edition bikes meant to celebrate Ducati’s very significant accomplishments weren’t really any more special than a regular Panigale V4S. Basing the bike around a V4R or Superleggera would have really made it something more than just a paint-and-tape special.

Ug, please bring back the good old days of the 916, this thing looks like a garish rolling billboard. But I guess that’s the point….
