1997 Bimota SB6R

Warning!

This post is in our archives. Links in this post have been updated to point to similar bikes available to bid on eBay.

Bimota’s are always a thing of Beauty and the SB6R is no exception  With the Suzuki engine in the Bimota frame, loads of carbon fibre and CNC machined aluminium they just are good to look at. Here is a stock photo:

From the seller:

One of a kind 1997 Bimota SB6R for $8000 or best offer!!!
This bike has had one owner since 1997, it has always been garaged, and is in show quality condition.
144 hp and 100 ft/lbs from the Suzuki GSXR1100 motor. Ohlins rear and Paoli front. Should I mention the Carbon Fiber?
For the collector, this bike includes Magazine Media and the original sales brochure.
Ride this one to the crest and I guarantee you will not see another. California titled. The only flaw this bike has is that the speedometer cluster has been changed.

You can find the advert here:

The asking price seems quite reasonable however there is no mention of mileage and with the speedo head having been changed some checking needs to be done. The seller is including some history as well with sales brochures and magazine reports which is always nice.  If this bike is a good example then it is well worth adding to the garage!
