The ZX600A was a defining bike of its era releasing in 1985 it was the first fully faired 600, being one of few bikes to introduce a new class just by its inception This one owner example has quite an interesting story.
Purchased by a service member overseas in Germany in the late 80’s this bike gained most of its miles on the autobahn. After returning to the states sometime around 1997 the owner unfortunately passed leaving this bike to sit for almost 30 years.
This bike received a few items to bring it back to riding shape as well as the following items that come along with the bike – cleaned/ vac synced carbs – new front/rear master cylinders – all fluids replaced – original owners manual and tool kit – almost complete set of clean bodywork – spare tank – spare set of mirrors – saddle bags with more spare parts still bagged
Come check it out! Cosmetic defects shown in photos, will need tires

It’s been a long time since we have seen one of these. And it seems you never see one in good condition. This might not have been rare in 1987… but it is quite a sight to see now.
Many more photos on the FB listing.
Let us know if you see it – and definitely let us know if you purchase it.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
If ever was a widow-maker, this was it. The aluminum framed Limited Edition bike belongs in a museum and never to be ridden. These are cool bikes because they were the first. Small sport 600. The good thing is they got better from here on, because they had too. As a result every other bike made had to get better as well. Due to tire sizes and limited quality rubber available the bike may never live up to expectations.
Indeed unusual to see one of these now. And amazing how Kawasaki raided the parts bin on all their sports models of the mid-80’s.
Hmm, didn’t know that. I had an ’86 FZ-600 at that time. Not a Widow-maker just uncomfortable if you had to do any Interstate miles.
