In accordance with Two-Stroke week, I bring you this 250cc smoker from Suzuki. Most of the 250’s we see on here are of the Honda variety, so it’s nice to see something a little different. There is even another RGV up for grabs as we speak, and you can check that one out here.
This bike here comes to us from Canada, starting to notice a trend? Some one up there is purging their collection (is maple syrup going up in price?). All jokes aside, the little Gamma sure looks great. The seller says it’s a ’93, but it looks more like a ’91 to me. And some slight variations in the graphics indicate and coloring suggests to me that it has been repainted. Also, the grips and bar ends don’t look original. Given all of that it still looks awesome and well done. If anyone has anymore insight into this, please chime in
From the seller:
SUZUKI RGV 250 GAMMA 1993
250C, Liquid cooled, Two stroke, 90 degree V twin, 61 HP, 6 speed transmission, Adjustable inverted forks, Kick starting, Front 2x & rear disk brakes, 76cm seat height, 139Kg dry weight, 16Lt fuel capacity, 210Km/h top speed.
Sports Edition with Dry Clutch. Brand new tires. New battery. Low Insurance. Certified.
I think that the pinging and popping of a two-stroke combined with the rattling of a dry clutch has got to be one of the most intoxicating sounds I can think of. Wrap that up in Suzuki blue and a banana swing arm, and you got me sold! The BIN price on this Gamma is $5,100. I’d say this is a fair price, but I would want some more photos and info on the bike if it were me. You can check out the auction here and decide for yourself?

I saw the bike the other day – aftermarket fairing – not mint and a collector would be disappointed – but a great bike if you want to ride
