2006 Ducati Paul Smart 1000
Location: Columbus, OH
Price: $10799.00
Miles: 600
Had this one forwarded to us last night and it looks capital “A” Amazing! Sporting only 600 miles in 4 years this one is ready to continue it’s current journey of being a piece of art or you could finish the break in and hit the road in classic style.
I am selling my 2006 Ducati Paul Smart Limited Edition bike with less than 600 miles on it. It is gorgeous, bone stock and near perfect. I also have all the swag sent to me by Ducati when I pre-ordered the bike 5 years ago. Only 500 of these bikes made it to the US, and I paid over $15,000 for it new. It won’t be long before it will be going for more than that.
Cheers!

I have one of these and it’s one of the most fun and beautiful bikes I’ve owned.
An unmolested one with stock pipes and low miles is getting harder to find as second owners are getting them and modding them extensively (there are GOBS of hop up parts for these bikes since they use standard 1000DS motor). Read up on the ducati.ms forums if you’re interested because there is an issue with the plastic tanks on ALL of the Ducati sport classics (ethanol causes them to deform). Ducati is replacing the tanks under warranty but be aware of that issue. Some people report being on their third replacement tank and there’s nothing in writing from Ducati saying they’ll replace tanks forever and tanks are about $1,800. ETI is working on a kevlar tank that will be lighter and will be a permanent fix.
Handling is great, but they are sprung for about a 160lb rider.
They have tubed tires.. and those stock pipes are like boat anchors.
did these come with the full fairing?
if you know please respond here.
chuck – The upper fairing was standard, but the lower fairings (which aren’t on the one pictured here) were optional. They take only a few minutes to bolt on/off.
thanks for the super fast response!
so, would i be able to buy the lower fairings from ducati or aftermarket?

or other ducati dealers..
they show up used on the ducati forums (ducati.ms) classifieds fairly often for a lower price.
thanks again.
