Although I am not quite as familiar with this as I am with Bimota, MV Agusta is another one of my favourite Italian brands (perhaps even more so than Ducati). MV had been quite disappointing in the past few years in that they were just churning different versions of the same bike with different paint jobs and different editions, but nevertheless the F4 (and the Brutale) are definitely one of the sexiest bikes of all time.
Here is a very special 2004 MV Agusta SPR that would make any collector happy:
RARE COLLECTORS BIKE #290 OF 300 MADE IN THE WORLD
THIS BIKE HAS $8,700 WORTH OF FACTORY MAGNESIUM UPGRADES, STAINLESS STEEL BREAK LINES, FULL RG3 EXHAUST.
THIS BIKE IS VERY FAST
3100 MILES
CUSTOM RED SUEDE SEAT
THIS BIKE NEW FROM DEALER COST $31,000 WITH UPGRADES
According to MV Agusta USA’s website, the SPR is “the fastest and most powerful F4 of the MV AGUSTA 2004 range. Created for the clientele that uses the motorcycle mainly on tracks, the SPR is a synthesis of a long tuning process to the Evolution engine.
The technical staff at MV AGUSTA designed a new cylinder head, new inlet ducts, and redesigned the combustion chamber. Also thanks to the new ‘MAHLE’ pistons, stamped and with cooling oil jets, the SPR engine reaches a stratospheric threshold of the rev limiter at 13,900rpm.“
I wish the seller would post more (and better) photos, as this seems to be a very desirable bike. My favourite version of the F4 is very limited production Veltro Pista (as below), but the SPR is still very rare and special.
