SELLER
The 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R Colin Edwards Edition was limited to a production run of 461 units worldwide. These special edition bikes were released to celebrate Colin Edwards’ rookie season in MotoGP and his 2002 World Superbike Championship.
Excellent condition. You will not be disappointed with this bike!
I believe only 50 of them were delivered to the United States of the 461 units made.
It runs very strong and sounds so good! It sounds much better then the video made by my IPhone. (click on red button to see video at ebay)
It also looks much more vibrant in person then the photos.
It’s ready to go and needs nothing. Fork seals and battery wire upgrade were done during the most recent service.
If you’re a motorcycle collector, this is a must have in my opinion.
I’m the third owner. I have all the paperwork and receipts, including the original bill of sale. I even have the tail decals that we never used.
10,606 miles that may go up if I take it for a spin.
Please call me and we can work out a deal. I’m super easy to work with. It’s very important to me that the bike makes it safely to you. I will work with your shipper anyway I can.
RSBFS
We have seen some nice Aprilia RSV1000’s, and today we have the treat of seeing a Colin Edwards Edition. This is rare within the rare market.
The last one I found on RSBFS was in 2015 when Mike let us know, “Up for grabs today is a RSV1000R produced as a tribute to the venerable Colin Edwards. Aside from being one of the most like-able personalities in recent racing history, Colin was also explosively fast and competitive. It is a shame that the last few seasons in MotoGP did not showcase his true talent, yet his absence from the grid is missed all the same. This replica was inspired by the Aprilia RS Cube machine that was raced in MotoGP, and was produced in pretty limited numbers. Somewhere between 450 – 461 were created (numbers vary), and only 50 were imported into the US. This is bike number 45 of 50. Performance wise, the CE machine sported the same track package as the Haga replica, with intake, airbox and injector mods, Akropovic exhaust and computer updates. These are rare and pretty collectible machines”
I was not able to see what number this bike is, however from the VIN we can assume it was bike #60 off the production line. That however does not mean it is bike #60 in the limited edition. If you can find the number in the photos, please comment. There are many more photos in the ebay listing, so perhaps I missed it.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
Very cool find indeed. Who can forget that final round showdown of the 2002 WSBK season at Imola, but I seem to recall Edwards on a green and white machine.
I was the second owner of this bike. Had a great time with it. In fact, sold my RC51 after bringing this one home and riding it. Would consider buying it back…
Price seems very, very optimistic.
