If this bike were closer to Vermont, we wouldn’t be posting it, we’d be buying it. Thirteen thousand miles on a 34-year-old bike hits a sweet spot. If you’re a rider, there’s enough use that you won’t hesitate to put more miles on it. And if you’re a collector, it’s still well under 20,000 miles, which keeps it firmly in low-mile territory.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

Don’t sellers realize that not all buyers are on Facebook?
Yes, a lot of us old grouches are not interested in ‘anti-social media’. But that’s a nice bike, who can forget when this thing debuted?
I do miss the OG classifieds.
Today, for most young people, if it is not posted on social media – it does not exist. The social media post and subsequent likes are more important than the actual item or event or whatever
Yeah i remember when cycletrader was a print item i had to seek out and pay for. And then, only when several hours away from home in the big city. the old days…
I remember being a college student when these we out and i worked PT at a Yamaha shop. I was happy that i got to wheel the bike in and out of the showroom at the beginning/end of the day. Closest i got to ever riding one. I gladly ate the cookie crumbs I got…
don’t fell the need to acquire one now, but I certainly would like to get some seat time on one for an afternoon. I’m not on FB and not likely to find any friends offering me a ride. Maybe i should go surf over to ridershare… I’m over 25 and am allowed to rent stuff these days.
What everyone said here and…only 1 photo. They just want to pretend they care about selling what looks to be a nice survivor FZR1000.
