Originally created to support a racing series that was intended to develop younger riders into professional racers, the Moriwaki MH80 was powered by a two-stroke single from Honda’s off-road CR80 that was tuned to produce a claimed 25hp. Honda also supplied the frame from their little NS-1, although Moriwaki made modifications to it in order to mount the CR80 motor, and also built the aluminum fuel tank and exhaust for the bike. The complete machine weighed in at a featherweight 176lbs dry, so that small herd of ponies has very little mass to drag around the race or go-kart track of your choice. This example has been updated with a 105cc kit for additional power, and is being advertised as a Moriwaki CR105.

Rare Moriwaki-framed Honda CR80 with 105cc kit.
17in wheels, V-force reeds, Racetech cartridge emulators and rear shock.
Spare engine, tire warmers and lots of parts included.Well sorted and fully functional. Some superficial abrasions to fairing. Fully safety-wired and track ready. Starts easily. 17in wheels with slicks.

A couple Moriwaki-framed bikes have come up for sale in the past, and the sellers are always light on details. I guess “if you know, you know…” The most recent example was also fitted with a 105cc kit, so this was either a common upgrade, or it’s the same bike and was listed with the wrong year either then or now. In any event, it’s a little rough around the edges, but looks and is claimed to be ready-to-race. I think it could use a lick of paint and some snazzy graphics/decals, but if you’re small of stature and looking to hit the track, this should be the perfect tool for budding racers and relatively easy to maintain.
