1993 Kawaski ZX11
Miles: 5,000
Clean Title
Listed Price: $5,000
Built between 1989 and 2001 the Kawasaki ZX11 Ninja was the company’s flagship machine, the fastest bike on the road, until it was surpassed in 1996 by the Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. There were no electronic shenanigans or a screamingly high redline, just brute force and a massive midrange from the 1052cc liquid-cooled, 16-valve inline-four backed by a smooth six-speed gearbox, suspended from an aluminum twin-spar frame and wrapped in simple, but effective bodywork that included flush-mounted turn signals and an aerodynamic front fender. The result was 174mph top speed from 147 claimed horses, boosted by a fully-functional ram-air system. This was no highly-strung sportbike, it was a gentleman’s GT, a bike that wasn’t just fast, but was effortlessly fast, and relatively comfortable, to boot. At 581lbs wet, it was obviously no lightweight, and there were no racing pretensions with that displacement, but handling was considered to be excellent, and the bike featured adjustable suspension at both ends.

Like New 1993 Kawasaki ZX11 garage kept only 5,000 miles . The fastest production bike in the world in the 1990’s.
These Kawasaki ZX11 Ninjas are stylish, fast, versatile, and extremely capable machines: a jack-of-all-trades in a sharp suit. Nice examples of these bikes are getting harder and harder to find, so this could represent an increasingly rare opportunity for anyone who lusted after these when they were new and couldn’t afford one, or anyone that sold one years ago and still harbors feelings of remorse. I’m much more of a European bike guy in general, but if I had $5,000 burning a hole in my pocket, I’d pounce on this one.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Surprised it’s been listed for 2 weeks and no buyer yet. Doubt you could do better. This is the bike the Blackbird edged out for speed crown, which was soon blown away by the almighty Hayabusa.
Some 2-3 years ago, I found a ’93 just like this one….with just 7,000 miles on it. Same color…a Corbin seat…slightly taller smoke-tinted windscreen…and the original owner had removed those “Ninja” decals from both sides of the fairing lowers. IMO…it gave the bike a “classier-look”. The ’93 ZX11/D1 models and next few years were noted as being the “BEST” of these from their inception as ZX10. As far as having the CBR1100XX/Blackbird being faster…just slightly (and who really cares…2MPH more @ speeds exceeding 170MPH…just “Bragging Rights”). I had owned a 2001 Blackbird too….after the Ninja. Actually liked the ZX11D1/Ninja better!
