Mini ZXR: 1993 Kawasaki ZXR400
Location: San Antonio, TX (Spring Branch)
Price: $7,400
Mileage: 21,633
A clean 1993 ZXR400 with 21,000 km’s is looking for a good home. I believe this is an L4 model (see below). Not a whole lot changed from the beginning of L’s to the eventual end of production in 2003. Some small engine modifications and color changes for the most part. This is only the second one I’ve seen for sale in the past year and the first was an older H series model.
From the CL ad:
This is a very rare exotic 93 kawasaki ZXR 400, this is extremely rare hard to find motorcycle, you wont find another one in such great shape!
It has only 21k miles, recently serviced, in great shape!
Has always been garaged, never raced, adult owned and is in excellent condition! She starts, runs and rides great! Everything works – idles smooth and runs strong. This bike always draws a crowd. I’m constantly asked if it is a current model and love watching people’s jaw drop when I tell them its a 93 model! I know I’m going to regret selling it…
I hate to say it but when I saw the price I got real excited. I thought it was an RR model: with more adjustable suspension, solo seat, close ratio gearbox etc. I know they are rare but I’m not sure about $7,400 rare for a standard, non SP, 400cc bike. At least one website I came across claimed 93 models came with black frames. I not 100% sure on the year on this one but it is quite common for grey bikes’ model years to be miss identified (I think this bike is actually a 94). If you are into these little rockets be sure to check out ZXR400world, it has some excellent info on them.
You can find this bike on San Antonio Craigslist.
