SELLER
Clean Suzuki TL1000R V-Twin Superbike. This bike has 7,000 original miles. Just got it back from the shop and had tones of maintenance work done with receipts for everything. This bike has zero issues and it’s ready to ride. Asking $6,000 or best offer.

The TL1000R doesn’t get talked about enough. Suzuki’s answer to the RC51 and the 916 was a 996cc V-twin stuffed into a full superbike chassis, and it had enough personality to make people nervous. Rotary damper out back, enough torque to embarrass sportbike riders who weren’t paying attention. It was polarizing when new and it’s underappreciated now, which usually means the window to buy one cheap is closing.
Six grand with receipts and low miles is a reasonable ask for a clean TL1000R right now. These aren’t getting cheaper.
One thing we can’t confirm from the listing: the year. The TL1000R ran from 1998 to 2003, and this one isn’t giving it up from the photo. Readers, can you nail it down from the bodywork or graphics?
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
Can you confirm all the facts?

Have to respect that yoshimura stepped up and campaigned oune in AMA superbike stateside. Kudos to Crevier for riding it and giving it a shot.
as to this photo i am unsure about the blue on the bellypan. The livery here isn’t unusual in my recollection. Except for the bellypan. I can’t recall but i don’t remember the dual shades of blue on the oem bike… time to go google….
I owned a TL1000R after a couple of the TL1000S versions. The S was a much more enjoyable and interesting bike to ride.
Always found this an intriguing bike. And you’re right about Steve, Michael, although he had more luck with the RC51.
