Available for just one year in very limited quantities, the Aprilia RSV1000R Bol d’Or Replica was a rare and exclusive version of Aprilia’s second-generation v-twin superbike. Powered by a 60° Rotax v-twin developed to improve packaging compared to other Italian v-twin superbikes, the 998cc engine and six-speed gearbox were suspended in Aprilia’s aluminum beam frame and wrapped in aggressively angular bodywork. Handling was excellent, helped by the Öhlins TiN fork up front and a fully-adjustable Sachs shock out back, with stopping power from radial Brembo calipers. With 143hp on tap, power was competitive, and the Rotax v-twin is famously reliable, for a superbike anyway. But the big story with this example is the singular graphics design, meant to commemorate Aprilia’s participation in the Bol d’Or 24-hour endurance race.
have a very nice limited edition 2007 Aprilia 1/200 “Bol D’Or” RSV RSV1000R for sale. Near MINT. The 200 Bol d’or bikes came with ohlins forks up front. 8900 miles. 2 others like it on auction websites have brought $7700 and $8400 respectively. Just spent over $2000 getting it ready for its new owner. The bike kept shutting off intermittently and we thought it might’ve been the fuel filter or fuel pump – went through the whole thing and it turned out to be the kickstand switch. Brand new supercorsas zero miles. Beautiful and perfect carbon fiber dual ARROW exhaust pipes. New samco hoses. Just detailed. Clean title, tags. But if you also want a dash of exclusivity to spice up with your affordable, reliable Italian superbike, you really can’t do better than this very striking Aprilia RSV1000R Bol d’Or Replica. The $7,000 being asked would barely cover a full exhaust system for a new Ducati Panigale V4S, running costs are relatively low, and the RSV1000R is fundamentally an excellent performer.
