If you know some of these colors by name and what bikes they were applied to, you’re in deep:
Fighting Red, Shasta White, Candy Aleutian Blue, Wistaria Blue, Seychelle Night Blue…
You’ll also appreciate this motorcycle from the greater Charlotte, NC area:
The original 900RR should need little introduction around here. Some say it gave rise to the ultra-light liter bikes that we know and love today. Still others complained that the 16″ front wheel made it twitchy. Easy fixes usually were applied in the form of a direct-bolt-in CBR-F3, 17″ wheel (once the F3 came along in 1995)> Incidentally, the few RC45 owners that there ever were in this country; many of them applied the same fix.
From the seller:
I hope I can find my baby a good home. I am the original owner of this 1993 CBR900RR. It was one of the first RR’s delivered to the US for press evaluation when I received it in March of 1992. Adult owned and always garage kept for the last 19 years. It’s in practically perfect condition with only 19K miles. That’s only 1000 mi per year! Engine never apart. Never down. No jet kit. No extended swing arm. No bling. No tail kit. No BS. Completely stock except for the windscreen and the Corbin seats but I have the stock seats. I also have the original owner’s manual and warranty card. It still has the original chain! If you want a bike to modify or otherwise disrespect this bike please don’t reply to this ad. If you’re looking for a perfect piece of sportbike history this is for you. I really don’t want to sell my baby so don’t bother with low offers. I take it out a few times a year and it puts a smile on my face. This pristine CBR is well worth the price.
These are still seriously quick motorcycles, whoever you are. Stock rwhp figures of the 893 versions were somewhere shy of 115 hp. So they were down quite a bit from the GSX-R1100 and FZR1000 of the same time period — but the RR was also nearly 100 lbs lighter, full of fuel!
With an ask of $6k, this one is spendy, and we don’t have very good pictures for a full evaluation. But they don’t turn up often in (what appears to be) this sort of nick. Have a gander.

Lovely. Two months ago I found a very well preserved Black/Red/Silver 1993 Blade on the classifieds board at advrider.com. I bought it from the 2nd owner who purchased it in 1994– the only mods are a full Vance & Hines system, an Ohlins rear shock, Racetech springs in the forks and a Kosman triple clamp. Dude put 50K miles on it, riding the length & breadth of the U.S. several times. And I practically STOLE it– for the bike, Eclipse soft luggage, a box of spare parts (brake pads, hoses, etc.), full service records, a one way airline ticket from Los Angeles to Vegas and the eventual CA tax/title I paid $3K all in. Unbelievable. Really a beautiful bike with a lot of soul. The deals are out there…
