One sweet ass NSR that has to be one of only a handful of low mileage, stock survivors.

This is my personal bike and it is as nice as it looks. There is one small, half dollar sized, blemish on the right side of the tail section and is documented in the photo. There is also some discoloration on the right lower fairing where the over flow tubes exit the underside of the bike that can be seen in the photos as well.

There is some evidence that it has been down on the right side at some point, but all of the bodywork was replaced except for the tail section. There is some light rash on the right canister, pipe and front turn signals. I’ve included pictures for a full disclosure, but as most people will realize stock NSR’s just are not available in any condition.

As usual, I’ve attached a lot of pictures for you to review. I recommend reviewing all pictures carefully and in doing this you will gain some appreciation for this particular machine and just how clean it is. I’ve never seen a cleaner 1994 anything-

Has new chain
Has new Michelin Pilot Powers
Carbs recently cleaned
New Spark Plugs
New Battery

This is a NSR time capsule and the only reason I’m offering it for sale is because I don’t think I can control myself from riding it. I’ve put about 30 miles on it and it runs awesome!

I know this is ‘only’ an ‘R’ version, but it is a beautiful machine and deserves to be on display and not abused.

If you’re interested let me know via this post and I’ll respond privately or if it’s a general question I’ll answer on here so everyone can see it.

You can view it on ebay as well with a few different pictures

Cheers!

1998 Derbi- GPR50 Racing E Motion

1998 Derbi GPR50 Racing E Motion

Location: Dover, DE
Mileage: 7,101
Price: $500.00 starting bid (which is mine 🙂 )

While Derbi isn’t as well known, as other scooter makers like Aprilia, these are neat little machines that can serve up a grin to even the most experienced rider.

Pretty sweet looking little machine don’t you agree? But, as with all of the machines that come out of Speedwerks I wouldn’t expect anything less.

In case you missed it, I placed the first bid on it already and I’d love to have it. This would make a great pit bike, lake bike or a learner bike and would surely bring plenty of conversation your way.

From the seller:

This bike can be registered as a moped and is ready to go! Imagine your kid on this bike learning the ropes without unleashing him on a full size bike like a busa or R1? Perfect for the stares and a grin. Fully serviced including new tires, chain, brakes, top end and reeds. All fluids, engine, coolant and brakes replaced.

The only thing that needs to be replaced, after that list, is the owner- Hopefully, it’s me 🙂

Click here for a little 2 stroke fun.

Cheers!

1984 Yamaha RZ350 in original condition for sale

Location: Visalia, CA
Mileage: 5,366
Price: $5,000.00 will park it in your garage

As some of our savvy readers will quickly recognize this is the same bike that sold in record time last week. Well, it’s for sale again because of those ugly DMV/BMV workers in California that have a hang up with a little smoke.

Still in the exact same condition as it was last week and looking for another new home. Larry, the new owner, is as frustrated as any regrading the lack of understanding, from the Cali BMV, regarding our beloved smokers. His intent was to buy a legal 1984 2 stroke to putt around on, but in the end it’s a no go. So, here the bike is again, just as it was last week, only having done a few hundred miles on an enclosed trailer.

There’s really not much to say other than what was said in the earlier post.

It’s also on ebay or you can hit up Larry direct at 559-300-0037 and tell him Doug sent you-

Good luck with the sale-

Cheers!

1992 Honda NSR250 Sporting new Rothmans SP Bodywork for sale-

1992 Honda NSR250R

Location: Hollywood, CA
Mileage: Unknown from listing
Price: $10,000.00

At one time NSR’s were pretty scarce stateside, but as of late they are rotating through as fast as Jay goes through…. um… let’s call them ‘partners’.

I have the original bodywork in decent shape, the current bodywork is new and depicts the SP edition NSR (little perpetration but looks bitchin) fresh top end, all original, everything works and runs excellent, no issues, super fresh cut slicks, fresh oil etc. current registration in CA title in hand.

Honestly this thing is like a time capsule. incredible shape. BRAND SPANKEN NEW BODYWORK AND TANK. box of parts and spares including original bodywork.

this was a DEA government seizure recovery. Was not in any accidents that I know of, has salvage title but this is likely due to the DEA recovery. or method in which took place to get Plated, as it was being “rebuilt” when it was seized. Now 100% complete. Starts on one kick.

This latest offering looks to be a nice example, but as I outlined in my last NSR post looks can be deceiving.

The seller is listing it as a SE model, but this machine has a wet clutch and non-adjustable suspension which denotes it as a R model. Now, I’m not bashing this machine at all- all I’m saying is that it’s not everything it’s being advertised as. Yes, it’s a very clean example with un-obtainable ‘new’ bodywork, but in my descriptions I consider ‘mint’ and ‘100%’ to be just that.

Again, you’ll need to decide if this machine is worth $10,000.00. It does have the ever elusive CA title and who cares if it’s salvage or not. It’s a freaking CA title!

For me it’s well over priced, but then again I don’t live in Cali and long for a grey market bike with a title.

What’s it worth to you?

There are plenty more pictures available for your viewing pleasure by clicking here

1997 Honda NSR250 SE

1997 Honda NSR250 SE For Sale- Fuggin Sweet!

Location: Camp Springs, MD
Mileage: 4,800
Price: $8,499.99

Unlike the NSR I posted the other day– this one is where it’s at.

This is probably my second favorite color scheme and is only there because the Cabin Racing scheme holds the top spot in my book.

100% ORIGINAL PLASTICS
100% ORIGINAL ENTIRE BIKE
100% FREE AND CLEAR TITLE
ALL FLUIDS CHANGED/ FRESH
NEW BATTERY
FULL PRO ARM
FULL SMART CARD (2)
FRESH TIRES
BIKE SO CLEAN, ORIGINAL FACTORY HONDA BUILD STICKER STILL ON REAR FENDER
FULL FACTORY HONDA SP FULLY ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION FRONT AND REAR
LIMITED SE (SPECIAL EDITION) DRY CLUTCH MODEL

In 90’s, if you were in the market for a NSR, and lived some where other than the USA, you had a choice of three different models- R, SE and SP. The differences are quite simple, but if you aren’t aware of them you might find it a bit confusing. I’ll do my best to explain-

NSR250r- Non-adjustable suspension, wet clutch and standard graphics
NSR250se- Fully adjustable suspension, dry clutch, and standard graphics
NSR250sp- Fully adjustable suspension, dry clutch, race team graphics and light weight Magteks wheels.

To throw a wrench in the gears I’ll tell you that 1996 was the last year for SP model production. So, the heading on the eBay listing could be a little confusing if you’re not crystal clear on models.

It’s not uncommon for tuners to source SP parts and put them on a standard R model and pretend they’ve got something. Sure you get all of the trick parts, but it still won’t be as valuable as a ‘true’ SP because the color code and VIN won’t trace back as a SP. I know this isn’t important to some, but to a serious collector it’s paramount and will make or break a deal.

I like this one and to put the $8,499.00 asking price in perspective these sold for 720,000 Yen back in 1997. In today’s dollars that would equate to nearly $9,400.00 bucks.

So, the million dollar question is this- Are you willing to pay $8,500 for a 14 year old machine in like new condition? If you answered ‘yes’ then I have to ask “Why is it still on auction” If you answered ‘No’ then I’d like to direct you to my MC28 for $7,500.00 🙂

Check it out here if you like’em with black rims.

Cheers!

1991 Honda NSR250SP MC21? Wait a second…

1991 Honda NSR 250SP MC21, but not really-

Location: West Islip, NY
Mileage: 12,000
Price: $12,500.00

This is an NSR250SP Fresh motor and two, yes two complete sets of body work including tanks.

One set Repsol and one set Rothmans.
Frame and Title are MC-21 and everything else is MC-28
A bunch of extras and a ton of trick parts.

Custom triple tree upper, fork brace, oil injector block off, tyga rear sets, carbon reeds and customer reed stops, reed stuffers, HRC jet kit, steel braided lines, customer front and rear brake resevoirs, , new clutch cable, carbon dry clutch cover, Kiss 1/4 turn throttle, rare magtek wheels, fresh metzlers, tyga expansion chambers and carbon fiber silencers, rear sprockets, light weight tyga meter stay, carbon meter cover, lightweight clip ons, tyga rear section, custom sub-frame, tyga battery box, I have both the keys for this the stock MC28 PGM4 credit card key and the very very difficult to get HRC race card key unleasing the extra power

I also have a parts manual, its in japanese but really helpful.

But that is not wat makes this bike unique, what really makes it unique is it is titled and registered on the real serial number and proper name. NY State title.

this is a bike I have onwed for many years and swore to myself I would never sell it. but never say never, it just doesnt fit in a family life style 🙁

Dont get me wrong this is not a show bike, this is a kickass unique race bike that is street legal. I when you go to shows, trust me everyone looks to see who’s on the dirtbike, wait thats no dirt bike!

So like I said it a 2 stroke and it doesnt stay clean too well.

Its not running right now I put a fresh top end on it and was getting ready to install a new wiriing harness from Tyga premade to accept lights and turn signals with the HRC card.

Wow, I’m not sure where to start-

Lets start with the pictures- Rothmans photo has aluminum colored frame- Repsol has black colored frame. Which is it?

If this is a SP model MC21 it will have adjustable suspenders on the front and rear along with the dry clutch and Magteks; which the seller says it has. The thing worth noting is that if it is a ‘true’ SP it has lost all it’s value because it is now a mixed SP of sorts.

True SP’s, with low mileage, can bring money close to the BIN price of this machine when there is one available- which isn’t very often. I do know where a true Rothamans MC21 that is for sale. If this is the going rate for MC’s any prospective buyer is going to miss out on a few good deals because our prices are going up… and quick! Not knocking this machine, but come on man we need to be realistic.

I understand that a seller can ask whatever price they see fit to ask and it’s up to a buyer to determine ‘what is what’. For me this is a…. You know what? I’m not going to finish that sentence because there’s no reason to. Our viewers know ‘what is what’

Back to the bike- It has plenty to offer the right buyer. The right buyer will be someone who likes to tinker and clean what we 2 stroke guys call ‘Spooge’. That’s right- SPOOGE! It always sounds better when you scream it in disgust because you have to wipe it off- again!

This one has a liberal sprinkling of Tyga dust with the rear sets, pipes, carbon reeds and bodywork. If the Rothmans bodywork is real OEM SP stuff it’s worth a considerable amount, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it’s probably not of OEM vintage considering the rest of the bike. A set of any OEM NSR bodywork can bring upwards of $1,000.00 in great shape, but SP bodywork, with the tank…. well, that’s another level all together.

The HRC card that is mentioned kills the lights for track use only. It’s difficult to find one and when you do it needs to be fiddled with to make it play nice with the street functions of the PGM IV. Since all NSR engines are the same, sans the wet or dry clutch, most people prefer to modify the MC21’s and not fool with the PGM IV cards. The cards have plenty of ‘neat’ factor, but have a lot more PITA factor to offer if you lose one, get it wet, step on it etc. PGM III’s are easier to modify and use regular keys for the ignition.

I wish the seller all the luck in the world in selling his beloved NSR for $12,500.00 because that will only increase the value in my 2 little guys.

You can check out more photos and hit the BIN button here.

Cheers!

1986 Honda NS250R For Sale-

1986 Honda NS250R for sale in super rare silver??

Location: Pompano Beach, Florida
Mileage: 5,321
Price: $3,000.00 will put it in your garage

Soooooo, I’m guessing this isn’t the most desirable color combo for the NS250r? But it still makes for a fine bird chaser and it comes complete with enduro style rubber for those back yard excursions….er….were those considered ‘sticky’ back in the day?

What the hell because either way it’s a perfect fit on RSBFS.com and here’s why.
-Grey market import
-No title
-Low miles
-it’s a smoker!

What more could you ask for from us here at RSBFS.com? That’s what I thought!

Now, on to my blabber 😉

45hp was standard issue for the NS250r and that was put to the pavement via an 18″ rear and 17″ front Comstar 5 spokes. I know you liter bike die hards are laughing at 45hp, but these tip the scale at a mere 317#’s and 45 ponies is plenty to put a smile on your face.

How many of you noticed the ‘kickstand coolness’? Check it out again if you missed it. It has it’s own little aerodynamic fairing attached to so when it is up it’s clean and tucked away. Those crazy Honda engineers thought of everything-

From the seller:

The bike starts, runs, and stops.

This bike is in original unrestored condition. As you can see in the pictures, the bike does have some scratches and scrapes (nothing bad), the aluminum is a little oxidized in spots and I noticed some light surface rust in spots (again, nothing to bad).

If your a 2-stroke fan and looking for a project vintage street bike to restore or just want to own one of these hard to find Honda’s to ride this bike would make a great addition to your garage.

Okay, so we have a few bumps and a little oxidation- Not too bad all in all.

Check it out here if you’re interested in having the only NS250R on the block.

Cheers!

1994 Honda NSR250 SE- For Sale!

1994 Honda NSR250 SE

Location: Argiroupolis, Athens, Greece
Mileage: 1,000 since rebuild
Price: $7,000.00 B.I.N.

A good looking NSR if I do say so myself!

If I had to take a stab at this I’d say this is listed by my buddy Nick at TwoStrokeRaceLab.com. Nick is a well known PGM Tech and you can usually find him lurking on NSR-World.com and the like helping 2 stoke owners save a few bucks fixing the electronic brains instead of buying new ones. If this is Nicks NSR you can rest assured it’s well sorted and ready to rock.

NSR’s are always a welcome site on RSBFS.com and I’m always honored to write one up. MC28’s, in stock trim, will deliver about 40-45hp which depends largely on who you talk to.

De-restricting the 28 is a little trickier than a MC21 which is due largely in part to the PGMIV electronics, but it’s not impossible to coax a little more power out of them.

New cylinders, pistons & rings. All seals & bearrings are new. Pirelli tyres are new. JHA complete exhaust systems. HRC carburator kit complete. PGM 3 full power electrics. The bike runs more than great (65 hp)

As I mentioned before this one is good looking and ready to rock and roll cranking out 65hp. I’d love to throw a leg over a 65hp NSR because I know how light and quick mine feels with a scant 45hp. This bike would be an absolute hoot to rip around on.

If you’re not afraid to import a bike from across the pond or if you’re already across the pond and looking for a de-restricted MC28 I’d hit up the seller and investigate a little deeper.

You can check out the auction here.

Cheers!
