Good morning,
When I made the new ownership opportunity post, I really had no idea of what would happen next. As it turned out, I had the pleasure of meeting numerous interested parties that all had great inspiration in the potential of taking over the site. Honestly, all of them would’ve been worthy stewards and it was really flattering and exciting to hear everyone’s proposals.
As I said in the original post, one of my main goals was to find the right fit with the new owners and right away I was delighted to get to know Ted (Red) and Lorelei (LL). Having been RSBFS readers and buyers over the years, they have amassed an impressive collection and really are one of us.
Throughout this process they have been clear about their intentions to preserve the core of what RSBFS is and mindful of what improvements they feel could add value moving ahead to be successful. Now that I’ve worked closely with them the past couple of months, they have my trust in seeing RSBFS into the future and it’s a site I look forward to following as a fellow enthusiast.
I want to sincerely thank all the readers of RSBFS over the past 15 years. It’s been my pleasure hosting this site and my way of enjoying our shared sportbike niche. I am so proud of what our community has become and look forward to it’s next evolution. Please join me in welcoming Ted and Lorelei as the new owners of RareSportBikesForSale.com and enjoy the rest of the riding season!

2008:
THANK YOU to Dan for your help and support with making these sales successful and exciting. Your (and your contributors) writing and posts have been a considerable contributor to every sale I’ve made. THANK YOU
(don’t be surprised when I write you for copy advise!)
CONGRATS to Ted and Lorelei! I’m insanely jealous of your acquisition, yet delighted to help support it! Best of Luck to you and RSBFS!
Glad you found a good fit, and wish you all the best. I check this site almost daily and enjoy the listings, which often teach me a bit more, or a lot, of what I knew about a particular model bike.
I’ve noticed Red and LL’s posts here of late. I like what they’re finding and the references to earlier posts here about the same bike or model. Welcome!
Dan,
As you go I want to thank you for launching and developing such a fun and useful web site. I’ve been enjoying it for about twelve years now and still check it every day.
My personal highlight was five years ago when you showed a 1989 Honda Hawk GT that I subsequently bought from John in Wisconsin. I’ve enjoyed adding a 1000 miles each summer since and, at 78, still get a thrill each time I open it up.
I wish you all the best in your future riding and business ventures.
Tony
I have been a daily visitor to the site for many years. I’m glad you were able to find new owners and hope they continue in the same tradition that you have created over the years. Good luck in your future endeavors!
Thanks for finding great stewards to continue your incredible work, Dan. Hope you are selling the biz to find more time to ride. You will be missed!
Thank you Dan. This has been a great site to access and research motorcycles. I wish you and the new owners the best.
Thanks for the well wishes! We are loving the positive energy!
Thank you John! I’m appreciating all feedback as we get our feet wet.
Thanks Brian – we appreciate the support!
This is a great community! -dc
