From the same seller in Australia with the two RC30’s for sale, he’s also offering this very tidy Japanese market OW01. These models are slightly restricted and can be spotted easily by the flush mounted headlights. Nontheless, with 500 produced worldwide it’s still a very collectable motorcycle. It has an opening bid of $13k AUD, which comes to about $12,200 USD. Being a 25 year old bike it should be relatively easy to register here in the states as a classic. How much is shipping from Australia?

Yamaha OW01 for sale on Australia eBay
from the seller:
In very good condition for its age with low km’s in OEM condition with just 17,000km. I purchased it 3 years ago and have only ridden it once before being placed into storage.
The only thing needed before rego would be a service, battery and a new relay for the indicators (not flashing) which is a standard Yamaha part. Tyres are virtually brand new
It has been part of my collection for many years but it should be ridden – the future owner will be very happy with it.
This is a lovely bike, I’ve seen it around the traps and at shows. The owner has ridden it more than once but still a lovely bike. I sent this Link to Gary drury “maniac gazza” who seems to think the bike has had multiple owners and was once crashed by one of the previous owners, the infamous rasmus pressendon who now resides in long bay correctional facility and will for the rest of his life. Either way bike should sell for $10,000-$12,000 sellers reserve is way too high. I if what maniac says is true I wish the owner would be more honest but this can’t be confirmed so who knows!!!!Shipping to the states will cost $3,000 USD
In regards to shipping,
You can buy space in a sea-can from people who are not able to fill it completely to reduce your shipping cost.
Cheers
Hi Ben I’m the owner mate and I can assure you it hasn’t been around the traps or crashed or even been to a show. I live in Tassie and have owned it for 3 years and I am had it first registered in Australia. I’ve only ridden it once and my 100% feedback speaks for itself. Appreciate your mate may know of another one buts it’s not this one. Cheers Stu
Hi Stu, maniac gazza could be wrong. He is adamant he has seen it before rasmus was put away and he reckons rasmus pressendon had a few crashes On it as he wasn’t as careful as he should have been with this bike. I tend to believe you over maniac as he is on zyprexa for his bipolar disorder. Also I can’t conform with rasmus as I don’t tend to frequent long bay correctional facility and I’m not on his visitor list so I’d have to get a message through a mate of mine inside and rasmus is in solitary so it would also cost me a few hundred to do so. Either way good luck with your sale bike looks great and ras die is a wonderful place to live. Is it true about the inbreeding on the island or is it just a mainland joke?
Stu, do you know anyone inside long bay who can get a message to rasmus pressendon in solitary. I took a screenshot and sent it to maniac and let’s just say he doesn’t like being called a liar!!! He said he saw rasmus ride it to PI a few years back and said rasmus drank a case of 4X jumped on his bike and drove irraticly, fell off it and the bike crashed at about 20kms. If you have dropped it so t feel bad about it mate the bike looks awesome anyway. Is love to know if what gazza is saying is true howuch you paid rasmus for it. I reckon it would have gone for a song if it was when he was on trial. He knew he was getting life and would have sold it for a song. Good work anyway as the bike looks awesome. Hey how did you wet rasmus anyway? Most people steered clear of him. Apparently his nick ne inside is the “Viking” and he for put in solitary for biting off an indigenous mans nose and pinky finger for bumming a young bloke against his will. Better people like that are inside not outside. I’m sure he has a few girlfriends inside, he was always a crazy one.
Did this auction end early?
Anyone know why?
Cheers
Hi Hwood,
Just noticed that myself. I wonder if it was because what I heard about the bike was true… I guess we can only surmise
If it was true he may in fact be listing it for a more realistic price . Alternatively he could have sold it for a cracker of an offer way about the BIN price and delisted it because of that.
This is the funniest comment page I’ve seen in a long time!
Yup, funny is right.
I don’t know what it is lately with all the shilly-shally listings on Ebay lately.
This board is just a wealth of knowledge and insight!!
They may want to rename it, “Rare Sportbikes For Sale : the inside story”! lolololol
Cheers to you all !
Hey bezel and Hwood,
This is a great forum I think it’s just that some people don’t always tell the truth.
You know my friend inspected a car that was advertised as a one owner car never been crashed and when he had it in he hoist saw the welds underneath. He confronted the owner about it being a half cut ( 2 cars welded together) and that it is unsafe and illegal and the guy threatened to kill him if he told the cops. Obviously he went to the cops for the safety of the public but the. Cops could never find the car after that. Point is buyer beware. I’m glad we have this forum it seems the contributors work hard to brings us bikes from around the world and I am grateful for that.
I also thing that you guys are glad that you have people like me to bring the truth to light. People like me are the unsung heros of this forum. I don’t ask for praise or gratitude I know it will be there one day when I need help.
Peace out gents
Hi guys, the auction didn’t end early it just finished it’s 10 day listing 12 hours ago (delayed notification to you guys sorry). All I can say is I am an honest seller and everything listed is correct. The bike came from Queensland (hence the number plate) and before that from Japan. I am dealing with a number of queries now but have not concluded a sale. Happy to talk with any genuine enquiries on the phone. Understand Ben there may be another OWO1 that fits your info but I have this one with the importation details that shows it came from Japan to Qld to me……..
I’m pretty sure that Carl Williams and Chopper Read also took this bike out on a few ride days and gave it heaps.

Hey 7th gear,
I never knew these guys you are talking about but maniac gazza is certain rasmus pressendon drove this and lightly crashed it in PI
hard to know who to believe:
the seller..or the friend of the homicidal schizophrenic.LOL.
…this is why prisons/mental asylums in Australia should not allow their wards access to the internet!
Not exactly a shining endorsement of the education system there either, mind you I think our friend Ben was exposed to schooling of a different kind in his formulative years.
Gents you can make fun of me and the people I have associated with however I am just trying to get the truth out there to help buyers make decisions based in truth. Just because I know certain people does t mean I am lime them. I just want help where I can. The education system in Australia is as good as it gets it’s more about what we do with what we have learnt. I love this forum. One day I want to have a stable of collectible bikes to ride when I feel like it and most will be purchased from info from this forum.
Peace out and god bless.
