The FZR400 was the little Fizzer Yamaha actually sent us, starting with this ‘88. Most of them got ridden like they stole it. Canyons, track days, club racing. Finding one with 6,837 miles that came out of Arizona and has always been garaged is the good kind of surprise.
The V&H can and non-stock seat won’t bother anyone, since the stock seat and exhaust come with it. The missing seat cowl is a different story. Somebody’s about to spend some quality time on eBay.
The seller says it was completely gone through and bought from Iconic in California, so it’s worth asking what was done and whether there’s paperwork. For price context, a 1990 FZR400 EXUP with 19,649 miles sold on Iconic Motorbike Auctions this May for $6,420.
We’ve covered plenty of these over the years if you want to go down the Fizzer rabbit hole: https://raresportbikesforsale.com/tag/fzr400
And hey, the seller paid more. Do we feel bad, or do we make an offer?
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

That’s a tasty one, especially with that mileage. Speaking of being club raced to death, the last time I saw one was being raced by a friend at our local track. These have always been a personal favourite of mine.
