This black and gold Factory found one of the few riders who thought 139 hp wasn’t quite enough, and had it updated with a 1100cc engine kit and Akrapovich exhaust. Under 4,000 miles have passed beneath the unused sliders and unmarked fairings.
2007 Aprilia RSV1000R Factory for sale on eBay
The RSV1000R was Aprilia’s 2004 re-design of the Mille, using the Rotax-derived 60-degree twin. Four valves and double overhead cams driven by gears, all make for as bomb-proof a liter as can be. Triangulation has been added to the frame spars for stiffening, and likewise the gull-arm monoshock. 320mm Brembo brakes now have radial mountings, and the bodywork has also gotten the angular treatment. The wide seat fairing has a masterful treatment of the lights and signals, but no pillion.
The engine kit likely ran into some bucks, but otherwise this RSV looks like it came from the Factory, which includes Öhlins – including steering damper, and forged O-Z wheels. Even the area above the rear mudguard ( underneath the seat ) is clean. The tank is missing its usual tiger, maybe the reason is the decal bubbling mentioned in the eBay auction:
1100cc big bore kit and Akrapovic Evo 6 full exhaust professionally installed and tuned by Amauri. The bike looks like new and considering it has less than 4,000 original miles you can tell why. Only notable flaws would be the usual problem these bikes have with air pockets forming under the Aprilia emblem on the gas tank and other typical minor road wear. The bike has had the same owner for about the last 10 years.
RSV Milles and 1000R’s have been winning the bang-for-the-buck index recently, and have proved the design beyond doubt. With the engine work, the ask for this example is more in line with a superbike from that other Italian outfit, but still a lot of ride for the money.

Some crazy tires in the backround.
If only it were bone stock and unmolested. The big bore kit “upgrade” is the deal breaker for me ????
Is this from Amuris own collection?
“Under the radar” GREAT bike! And if you know anything about the V-twin RSV family, you’d know that the “big bore” upgrade is a GREAT mod and having it done by Amauri is icing on the cake! Broadens and deepens the power and torque curves of an already healthy motor with little to no impact on reliability. If I didn’t already own one with a kit installed, I’d consider this one. That said, the asking price is a little rich for me.

Xavier I agree. I think because of the engine mods this bike will be a hard sell even at less money.
