For Sale: 1997 Bimota SB6R
Attention class: School is in session. Open your textbooks to RSBFS’s earlier post on this very bike, a ’97 Bimota SB6R. Note that Ian called out the price as being perhaps a tad on the high side and recommended talking the seller down to more competitive levels. Well, if you didn’t do that, you now have a second chance – and THIS time you will be able to score an honest-to-God BIMOTA for the kind of scratch it takes to purchase an “ordinary” used bike.
Powered buy a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 motor, the SB6R blends Japanese hypercycle horsepower with Italian engineering and style. These bikes originally sold for stratospherically high prices compared to its mass-produced Japanese bretheren, but have recently come down in price. Part of this is due to the fact that production during this era of Bimota was at an all time high – the SB6 is perhaps the least exclusive of the 1990’s Bimota lineup. The pricing on this particular bike is aided by a fair amount of miles 16k, along with the seller experiencing some difficulties on the sales cycle.
