Now let’s talk two strokes.
They’re like the adrenaline junkies of the motorcycle world. They rev high and keep things lightweight, which basically means you’re in for an exhilarating ride. Plus, this bike’s power-to-weight ratio is off the charts! It’s like the perfect recipe for thrill-seeking motorcycle enthusiasts
And for the collector, the RZ350 represents a transitional era in motorcycle history. It was one of the last street-legal two-stroke motorcycles produced before emissions regulations led manufacturers to focus on four-stroke engines.

RSBFS:
Having ridden one of these several thousand miles myself, I’m partial to the RZ350. This thing taught me how to ride twisty roads, it’s tall and narrow with a confident feel. Mine had crazy foam grips on it… but that’s another story.
This particular bike has lots of upgraded performance goodies and fresh paint. My bike was all stock and it was a great performer. I can only imagine what this one feels like.
Good luck to the seller and buyer!

Back in 1987 a fellow a few streets over had a 1985 RZ350 for sale and me being totally in love with all things two wheels knocked on his door to ask if i could take it for a test drive ……. i had never ridden bike before other then a very brief introduction on a 80cc dirt bike which i wiped out in a remarkable manor in front of my mother of all people . I was forbidden to ever own or ride another bike as long as i lived . Back to the 85 for sale , the fellows mother answered the door and informed me her son wasn’t home but i could come back at 4 pm as he would be home by then . For the rest of the day i nervously waited for the appointed time to arrive . With helmet in hand i arrived at 4 determined to buy a bike . The owner not being much older then me answered the door and started to tell me all about the bike all i heard of which was blah blah blah blah $1400 bucks blah blah blah take it for a ride . I put my helmet on and climbed on fortunately the owner had started it for me and i was facing down a hill . I proceeded to stall it twice on launch until on the third attempt i got her going . Long story shortened i made it back safe never getting higher then third gear or hitting the power band but thus began my long riding career and love of 2 smokers . Some of the best years riding were on that 350 and i eventually moved up to the RZ500 that just made things even more amazing in my young impressionable mind . Oh ya i did get kicked out of my home but that’s another story .
Great story Joe! Thanks for sharing!
