Number 304 of only 600 made to commemorate Yamahas 600 cc superbike championship season of 1991. Hand painted magenta and Yellow this bike is a unique and eye catching bike. Fitted with Vance and Hines exhaust and super tuned this bike is a fast 600cc . It has a distinct sound. Runs and looks like new. It comes with the Bell helmet still in the original box that was ordered with the bike. Also the calendar poster and manuals that came from Yamaha as part of the package option.rare and sought after by collectors. It does have a couple of scratches on the left side from loading onto a trailer ,has never been laid down. I acquired it 2 years ago from the original owner . It has 13,300 miles and still has original tires on it. I Recently had carbs cleaned, fuel tank cleaned and brake system fluid replaced by the local Yamaha dealership this year.

Here we have another interesting design decision. Some love it and some hate it. As Aaron stated back in 2017, “There is something so appropriately in-your-face about two heinously bright colors jammed together on a machine that was never designed to make you the Kiwanis Club’s favorite Eagle Scout. If you’re gonna be antisocial, you might as well be ugly and hard to miss.”
Last year we tried to pick one of these up on BaT but as many of you have lamented, it was a loosing game. We bailed at $17k. That was a 1-mile example and the auction ended at $18,000. Today’s bike has many more miles and some scratches. So the market for this one is even smaller.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

I have a real soft spot for these crazy appearance package tribute paint jobs, some of my bicycles from this era have similar nutso colour schemes. A nice contrast to the boring flat black and grey we see everywhere these days on all manner of vehicles.
That tends to be the way with race livery. you’re supposed to be able to recognize your rider and bike in the pack from 1/2 a mile away. Or so your mom and dad, who can’t tell a suzuki from an agusta, can spot you. Mission accomplished with the Vance and Hines livery from the 90s. No problems telling Eddie Lawson apart from Doug Polen at daytona.
Also interesting, yamaha produced the limited run and just happened (unintensionally) to put the unpopular single headlamp on that year. Then removed it the next year due to the complaints. So this is a double unicorn.
