This 1993 Moto Guzzi Daytona 1000 comes from the model’s first year of production and is one of 308 produced for homologation purposes. This example was purchased by the seller in 2014, and it now shows 21 miles. Power is from an air-cooled 992cc 90-degree V-twin paired with a five-speed transmission, and the bike is finished in red with gold graphics. Equipment includes 17″ alloy wheels, a Marzocchi fork, a Koni monoshock, a solo seat, a half fairing with a tinted windscreen, and a side stand. Recent work has included replacing the battery, changing the oil, and performing fuel and brake system flushes. Previously offered on BaT in May 2026, this Daytona 1000 is now offered again at no reserve with a tool roll, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The first auction had a reserve but didn’t get to 12k
sold for just over 18k… just to look at i presume?
Moto Guzzi produced 1,024 Daytona 1000’s. 308 Was the production # for the Daytona RS.
A friend of mine bought a brand new guzzi way back in 1998. It was at Wilson’s in california. It was a left over model. He just loved the syling on the cruiser he bought. Had to have it.
It broke down on the 100 mi group ride we were on going home. Electrical issues with lighting. Then the footpegs loosened. But who can’t turn a bolt on a group ride with friends around?! Obviously it had the factory italian tool kit still in place. So we made it back to the final destination. It later went back for warrantee fixes (light bulbs). All very minor. No big.
But dub stuff continued for 6 months. Mostly stuff loosening. A local moto journalist advised that with guzzi there is a “break in period”. Once you get past that things are reliable and the frustration will subside. Indeed he was right. After about 6k miles, the baby bird was grown and stopped with the little tantrums and because a reliable companion.
I suspect this Daytona is from the same gen. So if you are a potential guzzi parent, take a look at the lived miles and know there is light at the end of the tunnel. You have to do the work and put the miles on though. Reward will come. But like with most kids, you will be tested and persistance is needed.
