What a neat find! We’ve had few V&H FZR600 replicas grace RSBFS but I don’t think we’ve had one with no miles on it. I would think this would get most any Yamaha collector’s heart pumping. As I’ve said before, I think bikes like these are more rare than most any exotic Bimota or limited edition MV Agusta. Why you ask? Most any 20 year old with a part time job could afford these bikes and once purchased they were ridden hard and sometimes not taken care of. With time, even the clean bikes were sold to their third or fourth owner and well you get the picture.
The story behind the bike:
1992 Yamaha FZR600 Vance & Hines
vin # JYA3HHE06NA042098
Limited Edition #518 of 636
Mileage 000.8You are bidding on a BRAND NEW never started bike as decribed above. This bike was purchased by our Yamaha dealership/owner but never put up for sale, instead it was added to the bosses growing collection of rare, unusual, or exotic bikes and put in storage with the rest . However, the time has come to reduce our inventory and make his collection smaller by finding a good home for several of his collectables.
This is the ULTIMATE bike for the ULTIMATE collector who has almost everything ……. a perfect addition to any collection. FZR was recently removed from storage and is currently on display (for sale) as pictured.
Bike comes with MSO, bill of sale, and a copy of the original dealer invoice.
What were you doing back in 1992? Remember wandering into a Yamaha dealership and lusting after a limited edition FZR600? It might have been out of reach then but what about now?
As you can imagine, you have to throw out book value on a bike like this. Don’t let the Mrs. try to tell you otherwise. How can you put a price on filling out your prized collection or reliving your youth? This one is starting off at a cool $5000. How about some more pictures to try and convince you it is worth it?
