For sale is an exceptionally low-mileage 2001 GSX-R1000 (K1) — the first year of the literbike that changed the class. Current mileage: 2,449 original miles. This is a raw, early-2000s superbike — no ABS, no traction control, no ride modes. Just throttle, chassis, and rider input.

Ownership History:

– Purchased new July 2001
– I purchased it October 2025 from the original owner (while stationed in Colorado)
– It had been stored for several years prior to my purchase
– Mileage at my purchase: 970 miles

I rode approximately 1,500 miles intentionally to verify reliability and proper function after recommissioning.

Service Completed Under My Ownership:

– All fluids replaced (oil, coolant, front/rear brake fluid)
– Ecstar 10W-40 conventional oil
– OEM Suzuki oil filter + new crush washer
– K&N air filter serviced
– Sub-air cleaner replaced
– NGK CR9E spark plugs installed
– Fuel injectors removed and ultrasonically cleaned
– Chain cleaned, adjusted, lubricated
– Yoshimura RS-3 slip-on professionally repacked by Yoshimura R&D
– Damaged/missing items replaced with OEM Suzuki where possible
– Thorough detail and proper storage (battery maintained)

Condition Disclosure:

– Original owner had a low-speed tip-over on the left side
– Left fairing damaged (Suzuki no longer produces this panel)
– Left mirror and bar end show related damage
– Gold TiN wear on left fork tube (common on early K1/K2 models)
– Minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with age
– Fork seals are dry. Suspension operates correctly.
