Another Honda VFR400 (NC30) Up North, Eh!

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Mileage: 12,200

Price: $4,400 BIN

Just a few days back, RSBFS posted a Honda VFR400R for sale in the states, and that’s a rare sight indeed. Here’s another one for sale up in the great white north where everyone is all aboot awesome 400cc sportbikes, and 250cc two strokes too. All those bikes are about stellar power-to-weight ratio’s and monster handling. The VFR400R falls right into that category with a smokin’ V-4 motor to give you power and keep the weight and handling where you want.

This bike is one of many that look to be offered by the same seller. The other bikes you will see here on RSBFS too. Here’s what the seller has to say-

Honda VFR 400R (NC30) 20,400 Km 1990

Powerful smooth V4 engine, 400CC, liquid cooled, four stroke V-four cylinder, 16 valve DOHC. Electric starting, 59 HP 6 speed transmission. Pro Arm Single sided swing arm. Aluminum frame. 31 inch seat height. Front and rear disk brakes. 165 Kg dry weight. Very low insurance. Certified.

And a few photos-

There’s not a lot to the description and there aren’t many photos. But for what there is, the bike looks clean and original. This bike is up in Canada, so it may be less desirable for us in the lower 48 in terms of getting it home. But if you want to make it happen, the price isn’t too bad and may make up for a little bit of the hassle. And you would have one of the coolest bikes on the road.

If you want to make this happen, hop over to the auction and make your play!

1989 Yamaha FZR 400 in Canada!

For Sale: Yamaha FZR 400

From the Great White North comes this little Fizzer. The 400cc class has been extremely popular here on RSBFS, and a quick search of the archives will provide you with a whole afternoon’s worth of reading. Resident RSBFS expert Doug even raced one of these FZR400 bikes for a time.

This particular bike appears to be in reasonable condition for the age, but there are many details missing. It is clear that there has been some damage (see pics), but the seller makes not mention of the over all condition. There is a nice V&H pipe on the bike, but no comments regarding the state of tune. What we do know is the bike shows 38,000 km on the odometer, which equates to approximately 23,612 miles.

From the seller:
Yamaha FZR 400 for sale it is a great beginners bike or for the people who know their bikes this is a collectors bike too. Has a exhaust pipe solo seat cover polished frame new battery

So it is evident that this bike has been down – at least on the right-hand side. There are not even any pictures of the left-hand side, although the mirror and turn signal appear intact from the frontal view. The lack of pictures and details makes this one a bit iffy for me, which is why more details from the seller would be a requirement for those interested in the bike. Still, if the price is right then maybe all of that doesn’t matter.

And speaking of price, how is the Canadian exchange rate where you are? This bike is currently listed with a BIN of $3,500 CAN. If you live in the U.S., this equates to approximately $3,667 USD. There is also a “Make Offer” button listed, so there may be some room for you to snag a bargain if you’re lucky. To see all the details (such as they are), or to make an offer, . Good Luck!

1989 Yamaha RZ350 LC Canadian model on ebay

This might be the cleanest 20 year old bike on ebay!

There are more pictures available on the aution site, but I didn’t feel the need to bring them over because this scooter is absolutely spotless. I’m OC when it comes to keeping my rides clean and polished, but I’m pretty sure this owner has me beat hands down.

Owner says:

Rare 1989 Yamaha RZ350 LC Canadian model located in California. This is a 2 owner bike that is super clean and original. The only non original parts are the tires and new battery. Bike has 11,197 km = 6718 miles. I have had this bike for a while and never ride it so it’s time to sell it. Bike runs but the carbs will need to be cleaned from sitting for about one year. The fork seals should also be changed. This is one of the cleanest RZ350 LC around I don’t think there are to may left in this condition. There are no cracks in the fairings, no dents, no road rash…. I don’t think the bike has ever been down. Worldwide shipping is no problem email for details. USA shipping is also no problem. This bike is listed on our website for sale so if it sells there I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Check out my other auctions for more rare bikes and parts our check us out on the web. Bike is sold as is no returns so ask questions before you bid.

A few things that caught my eye when I first looked at this bike.
1. How it still shines.
2. The rake on the front forks! Looks like a mini-chopper and I can’t help but wonder how it handles.
3. The slightly odd colors

I expect this RZ will impress our most discerning two stroke fans. Jump over to ebay and give it a look. The owner has posted several very large pictures for any would be buyers to drool over.

Once again, we have to thank Jim for pushing this fine RZ our way. Good looking out Jim!

Cheers!

1989 Yamaha TZR 250 3MA For Sale in Vancouver, BC

Here’s a fantastic looking TZR250 in Vancouver on Craigslist for $4850 ($4427US):

quote from seller’s ad:

Up for sale, Pure 2 stroke fun! early 90’s GP style

– screams at high rpm
– kick start
– rear under-seat exhausts
– all factory original plastics, not a rebuilt, very highly collectable
– clean BC title, ready to be insured and ride
– very low ICBC annual insurance rate, I paid $335 for a full year fun!
– 23,xxxkm

Seems like a great opportunity for a Canadian buyer, and could be worth it for a U.S. buyer even without a street title. Unless you’re one of the few that seem to be able to work magic at the DMV, why not use it as a display piece until it’s 25 years old and then get it titled as a classic? I know that works for cars, I expect it works the same for bikes. Just seems too nice to track it and would be a very cool weekend back-road warrior!
