Intended to be the T-Rex of the grand comeback of the storied MV Agusta brand, the 2004 F4 750cc SPR had the very best bits that were offered on the F4 model (save the magnesium of the initial Oro model). With the most potent power plant in the lineup (estimates place it at 145-150 HP), carbon bits scattered throughout (although, sadly, not the main body panels), upgraded suspension in the form of a 50mm Marzocchi inverted front fork, special silver star wheels and limited, matte black livery, the SPR is a model you do NOT see every day. We have seen a couple pass through the RSBFS offices over the years, but I can count those on one hand and still have enough digits left over to make rude gestures. Limited to 300 units worldwide, this SPR is number 98, has a claimed zero miles, and resides in the land down under. Yes, that would be Australia. You didn’t just expect to find a super rare zero mile MV Agusta in your neighbor’s backyard, did you??

Prices on these models seems to be on the rise. These once used to be closer to the $10k USD mark, although a zero mile unit can certainly demand a premium. RSBFS staffer Ian once predicted these SPR models would go the way of the RC30/RC45. While we have not seen that sort of appetite quite yet, SPRs seem to be collecting a thicker stack of Benjamins than in years previous. This zero mile, nearly brand new example is on the market with a BIN of $28k USD. The seller is open to offers, so check it out and share your thoughts. Good Luck!

Heck, I’d give him what he’s asking just for the tires. God I miss those. Pirelli needs to do a retro line so we can have the old Dragon/Diablo tread designs that were ingrained in our lust for certain bikes after staring at them for hours in bike mags. Seriously, if I could get a new (read;safe) set of Dragons, I’d buy a 916 to put ’em on just so I could park it in my living room and stare at it.
one of the better looking mv agusta specials but somehow the polished wheels seem to make it look kind of cheap, at least to me. Guess I will hold out for an SP01.
