Aprila took notice and made multiple improvements first the first update to their groundbreaking Mille. Today’s example has turned just 5,112 miles hiding out near the Merritt Parkway, and looks so much the better for it.
2001 Aprilia RSV Mille for sale on eBay
Aprilia’s choice of the Rotax twin was a revelation, the 60-degree V making for a more compact package than some others. The sculpted alloy frame and swingarm stampings are a work of artistry, and part of the reason the matte black finish works so well. For 2001 there were several engine and chassis updates, a narrower roto-molded tank was specified, better Showa forks with Sachs monoshock, and a lighter though massive-looking 2-into-1 muffler.
Seeming early on in the owner rotation, this RSV looks excellent and is probably only on its second ever set of tires. The Rotax isn’t high maintenance and the rest of the bike doesn’t have to work hard to keep up with most riders. The pictures aren’t bad but need some brightening with all that matte black. The owner offers to have new tires mounted and has just a couple of notes in the eBay auction –
Low mileage 5,112 (8,227K) and in excellent condition.Performs like it should. Never been down.I am open to offers.
It’s been a buyer’s market for earlier RSV’s, but the condition of this example justifies additional consideration. With the tank bag mount and what appears to be a pigtail for electric gear, the miles are surprisingly low. With all it’s original good looks, this Mille goes most of the way to an R or race livery replica.

Love these. Easy, comfortable ride. All day comfortable. And unusual/unique enough to be a fun ownership experience, without breaking your wallet.
Great bike but priced waaaaaaaaay to high. $4500 – $5000 max for this.
