I’m guessing most readers here at RSBFS know the Yamaha RZ350, specifically the Kenny Roberts edition, as it was actually imported into the US for a brief time. Folks in the US know the issues with two strokes and how rare they are here, but not so everywhere else. So the RZ350 is a common bike for the rest of the world, along with many other killer two strokes that were never brought to the States. Here’s a 1990 model, a version built well after they stopped bringing them to the States in ’87.
From the seller-

Photos for you-
This does look to be a clean version for a 1990. Seller lists it as all original and no aftermarket or replaced parts stand out. The bike does have some scratches and minor blemishes but looks to be in pretty good shape. The seller mentions recent maintenance and the mileage is low. You’ll want to make sure that it does run well as bikes that have sat around can have their own special issues.
The seller is asking $6,000 BIN. That’s somewhere in the ballpark for a low mileage ride like this. Auction starts for less so you may be able to work out a deal.
Whatever the case, if you want a cool two stroke, this may be your chance. So go check this auction out.

one word Canada, too bad , anybody been over the border lately that can chime in on hard it is to buy something like this and bring it over?
Real hard, no matter what the seller says. It’s a $4K bike, not $6K.
Sure will need a front tire. “Original” is not a benefit here unless it’s going into the museum. And this one isn’t in fine enough shape to be anything other than ridden.
Hi folks
I am the owner of this bike & it is a great bike that runs like new . I never claimed it was a mint museume shape but for a all original bike thats 22 years old its sweet & about as nice as you will ever find. As for the front tire comment .I was just stateing that it hounestly in that good of shape & the rear rubber had minnior cracks so it was replaced for saftey. As well as the seals & bearings . I havent even detailed or touched it up ( rinsed it off with the garden hose & wiped it off)lol Its a zippy blast to ride & seriously gives any 600 4 strokers a wake up call in the corners. Anyways hope you like the pics people .
Colin, I hope you didn’t take my comment about the front tire as a diss, ‘cuz it wasn’t intended as such. I just mentioned it as a reminder to some folks who’d buy the bike and try to ride it as is on the old rubber. In a former life, I was parts manager at a Kawi shop in Toronto, and some of the rubber I saw on the old iron pulling into the lot was scary to behold.
For the record, if I were in Canada right now, I’d be heading out to have a look at the bike. I miss my ol’ RD400 Daytona Special and would dearly love to have a smoker again.
Well thanks for the response Trane. I was just just surprised to find my bike on this site & gess we all get a bit touchy if you think someone is bashing your ride lol. I found this site trying to figure out what i should be asking for a price $ & couldnt find anything . The dealer said 4000 to trade in because the 2 smokers are so rare now in this condition & we all know that he would mark it up befoure it hit the floor I was gessing probably 5500+ . So now my reserve was meet anyone has a chance @ her for less than the 6000 BIN was. Hope you find another smoker someday :))

Trane she dose sound pretty good eh ? Not Bad for an original 22 year old 2 stoker ? Found another Candian blue edition on this site from sep 14 2011 that went for a crazy $ 7300 US with almost 2x the km . Now i dont feel to bad about my 6000 bin lol . As it sits now at @ $4250 someone is going to steal it .
