There’s been a rash of GSX-R’s on the old RSBFS as of late. And that’s no problem for me. I can write about, read about, and look at these awesome bikes all day. Here’s another clean example of an 1100 ripe for the taking.
From the seller-
1996 Suzuki GSX R 1100 in increadible shape. only 6,704 miles. Never down, never raced, stock. Was in dry storage for years. Has a new battery. Starts right up. Has a stage 1 jet kit and a K&N air filter done last fall. Carbs are spotless. Was going to install a 4 into 1 exhaust system, hard to find but I know where one is and will give the info to the new owner. This bike is WAYYYY TOOOO fast, not a beginners bike, dont try. I just cant handle the riding position anymore. Moving to a sit up bike. This bike is in GREAT shape. Most of these bikes were used for racing and had been modified and had most of the body panels trashed. This is one of the nicest I have seen, not a scratch on the panels, all stock, all original. The tank is perfect. If it does not sell, ok with me as I am already having second thoughts on selling it. This bike has the factory “anti wheelie wire” which lowers the power in 1st gear. The wire has been run up to the seat with a switch to turn it on and off. The anti wheelie wire was put on these bikes from the factory to prevent people from flipping the bike in 1st gear. The pictures speak for themselves. No joy riding, must have cash on hand or you are not getting on the bike, its irreplaceable. Clear NJ title in hand. Just clean to your liking and a little wax, your done.
Took the bike out for a ride and the speedometer needle seems to be stuck from lack of use being stored for so long. The odometer “miles” is working fine so the speedometer should free up with a hearty ride. Everything else is good to go.
And photos-
So this is another clean, original bike that has somehow survived the years without being put into a telephone pole, laid down, flipped or modded unrecognizable. That’s pretty rare indeed. The bike doesn’t look like it needs anything and the seller does highlight a speedo issue that hopefully is easily remedied. Nothing more to add really.
The seller is asking for $3,600 to take this thing home. Not too bad if you ask me. If you agree, check this auction out!

Bike looks nice, but when you see details like the missing fasteners on the right side, it makes you wonder how competent the jet kit and any other work done was if you cant do something as simple as stick a screw back where it belongs.
Not a detractor from such an original piece, but fair warning for whats under the minty bodywork.
[…] either deja vu or we’ve see this one before. Last time it opened with a buy-it-now of $3650 and ended up selling after one relist for just […]
