One could be mistaken to think that RSBFS has some kind of bias towards Italian motorcycles. Well maybe not completely wrong, but exotic bikes come from other places too. Case and point is the Yamaha R1M. Not just the basic, but also well respected R1, the M adds carbon, Ohlins and more. Think of it in terms of the Honda SP, Ducati S/R or other special editions offerings.
This example is not your factory original as it left the factory bike. It has a laundry list of expensive upgrades that really should sharpen an already sharp riding experience. No word on if the OEM parts are included in the sale, but it is a safe bet that most that would be interested in such a bike would want to ride it as intended. This bike has over 35k miles and should be viewed as a badge of honor. One can only hope that the next owner continues the trend of use and enjoyment.

Stock motorI am the second owner of my R1M, bought in 5/18.
My R1M has been an excellent, most exciting and powerful motorcycle to me.
I have had lots of enjoyments traveling the country on my R1M:
California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Florida, and Arkansas.
With No issues whatsoever!!!
Hints: The mileageI really like my R1M, but I’m planning on relocating outside the USA, so I have to let my R1M go.
The listing is devoid of a Buy It Now price, so we will have to wait a couple of days before knowing if the market and the sellers expectations can be combined. Mileage will surely scare many buyers away, but shouldn’t. These are balanced and beautiful machines that were built to be out on the road. Obviously it will be hard to value. Modifications normally do not add any value, and often from a collectable point of view reduce value, but in this case the changes feel “right”. Seller will only get pennies on the dollar spent, but the next owner will end up with an amazing and unique motorcycle.
Hi my name is James and I was admiring your bike it’s a really awesome looking ride . I have a 1996 fzr 600 that I have been restoring over the past few years and it is a really fast bike I just love it it’s my stress relief at times. I bought it from a guy that had just went through the motor and he never ever got to fire it up before he had to sell it .he was handed divorce papers the day he finished putting it back together.so I paid 800 for it and brought it home and when I fired it up WOW I was amazed at the power and the the Way it handled on this road I live on above the Columbia gorge in Washington State it’s pretty awesome ???? bike . thanks for putting your bike up to be looked at because it is a really awesome looking ride and sounds like it also would really be nice to ride . thanks for letting me look.thats awesome.sorry to hear you have to sell it.owe what are you asking for it by the way if you don’t mind me asking James Leonard thanks again

96 fzr really fast 😉 for their time, I love Yamaha’s.
My first was the 86 fz 600 and I rode it from Idaho to Southern California , and back and forth to Las Vegas.
Air cooled left me buzzing for hours after those 600 to 800 and even round trip 1500+ mile rides
Over 60,000 miles that one
And several fzr 600 including my 92 ltd V&H yellow and magenta #521 I still have beat to hell.
You need to get on a 2000 and newer yzfr6 , or even better the r1 and see what really fast kind of starts to feel like
Those fzr 600 feel like choppers compared to the full attack position the bikes now put you in for the ride
But everything is relaxant when it comes to real and fast
That r1 is real nice and no doubt rip your face off your head fast no doubt
Just keep on enjoying the ride!
