Check out this very interesting 2008 HARC PRO HONDA HP250RF, 1 of only 27 made!
If you want to be “Club Racer of the Month”, this little jewel just might do the trick. Even if you just stay in the pits all day and hang out, you’ll have bragging rights to “I’ve got one and you don’t”… unless the guy with the Ducati Supermono shows up.
Not sure if the little tuning shop from The Rising Sun actually set out to make this bike or they just had a bunch of 125 and 250 bits they couldn’t sell. Interesting that the bike has 125 size wheels, single front rotor, 125 (similar) bodywork and frame but a 250 four stroke motor. I mean the whole thing looks like a 125 until you get to the “what the hell were you thinking?” mondo swing arm. If someone told me it was stolen off the Repsol MotoGP bike, I’d believe them, then to add insult to injury they finish the bike off with a SOLID aluminum rear sprocket (hey Harc Pro the 70’s are calling and they want their sprocket back). Check it all out here
All in all if the thing weighs in at under 190 lbs and makes decent hp, which is no where listed, it would be a blast to ride/race. It will probably make a very competitive club racer or a super fun track day bike but I think the money has to be about $10k, pretty much the same as a Moriwaki 250. Click on the “full spec” link where you can find deal breaking specs (at least when I’m shopping for a bike) like capacity “1” (rider) or ground clearance “110mm” or the fact that it tells you the clutch lever is on the left. I mean who in their right mind would buy a bike without knowing all this cool stuff?? ….pass the California Roll please, arigato all.

Hmmm… Since we can’t have 2 strokes in the U.S. Honda should bring these over with lights and cool racer graphics. I’d be first in line if they did!
This is a full on race bike along the the lines of Moriwaki’s MD250H
Honda worked in conjunction with Moriwaki in the development of a four stroke race only machine and series that would potentially replace the 2 stroke 125gp classes. They share the 125 chassis but utilize a 4stroke power plant. Out of the box they’re not as quick as their 2 stroke brethren but the extent of tuning is still in it’s infancy.
There is a nice series stateside for the Moriwaki and riders under 16. Good purses too. This is Honda’s HARC version of that bike. Most stayed in Japan for their 250 gp series. This one is a long way from home 😉
And just to be clear their “250” series means 250 4 stroke series. Not the 250 2stroke ………a totally different monster
