Straight from BaT:
This 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 remained with its first owner until it was acquired by the seller in 2023, following approximately a decade in storage. Power is provided by a 998cc DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission, and maintenance under current ownership is said to have included cleaning the four Mikuni carburetors as well as replacing the fuel pump. Finished in red, white, and black over a Deltabox II aluminum frame, the motorcycle features a full fairing, an aftermarket windscreen, adjustable suspension, 17″ aluminum wheels, triple disc brakes, clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot controls, and a four-into-one exhaust system with a Vance & Hines titanium slip-on muffler as well as a one-piece tail section with a black solo seat and passenger pillion. This R1 indicates 9k miles and is offered at no reserve with a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

RSBFS
Looks like the last time RSBFS saw this bike up for sale was in 2022. Doug reported the auction at $5,950 with no reserve and was happy to share that since, as he said, “Where ya gonna find a bonafide, low mileage super bike for under $6,000?”. Well, that was 2022.
Just last year a similar bike sold on BaT for $10,000. It was the blue color scheme and had only 3,600 miles. Based on this, me thinks today’s bike could get up to $7/$8k. Pop the popcorn and let us know if you go for it.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
Very nice looking bike.
But WTF is with that gas cap pic, that scares the hell out of me. What’s in the tank?!
Thats like a sexy supermodel packing something down there that just causes me to shrink.
Props to the seller for not hiding the termites but….
