Great condition Yamaha FZR 600. Runs awesome, just don’t have a lot of time to ride. Super low miles at 5600. Open to trades for a four wheeler.

A Low-Mileage Survivor? We’ll give it some love. Though we did just notice the tank might need some cosmetic attention.
We’ve featured plenty of FZR600s over the years, and for good reason: Yamaha’s middleweight mainstay has quietly become a crowd favorite. The comments section often feature readers reminiscing about their first bike, the FZR. Red loves the ones with crazy color schemes which drive others crazy. And as Dan pointed out on RSBFS in 2022, “They’re not limited editions, nor made in boutique factories, or even homologated for racing. But if you’re now in late 40’s or early 50’s, chances are you’ve owned or ridden one of these. And considering how old we were at the time, it may have even been your first taste of truly fast sportbike at a price that most riders could afford. While scores of these were manufactured, not many have survived in original shape as they were entry level sportbikes of their time, and they suffered with cheap modifications, road rash, and neglect.”
The early-’90s redesign brought sharper styling, a higher-revving oversquare engine, and chassis updates that made the bike genuinely modern for its time — yet still accessible, reliable, and wonderfully analog. Us old folk love analog, lol.
Interestingly enough, what we haven’t seen much of is the 1995 model year. I searched our site and was not able to find this specific year of an FZR600… is that coincidence?
They’re mechanically identical to the ’94 and ’96 versions, but apparently they don’t pop up as often. Does that make this one worth a closer look?
Aside from what looks like a period slip-on muffler, this example remains astonishingly stock — right down to its original indicators, mirrors, and graphics. Correct me if I’m wrong, but most FZR600s were used up or modified, making an uncut survivor like this a rare find and a great post for our site. We did just notice that the tank might have a dent – so obviously, as always, investigate.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

Nice Bike!
I think ’89 was the last year with round headlights.
it is sad these bikes have such a lackluster following
I own 6+ bikes, and probably parts for 1-2 more bikes, and I don’t feel that I will recoup more than $200.-$300. per “bike” .. as they are mostly each in a certain stage of disrepair.. I have “aged out” of my beloved sport, and health forces me to be more of spectator, than a participant.. I miss my WERA peeps, and brother Mark Merical, who I was able to meet on “pit lane” @NJMP 2 months back
I have a pretty, stock, low miles ’96 FZR600 like the OP to sell off in southern MD. too
I pray he has success selling his! Merry CHRISTmas y’all !
