Found on Bring a Trailer, “This 1994 Honda RVF750R RC45 is one of a reported 200 examples produced by Honda Racing Corporation that year to homologate the model for the World Superbike Championship, and it is powered by a liquid-cooled 749cc DOHC V4 mated to a six-speed transmission. Finished in white and red with blue and black accents, it is equipped with electronic fuel injection, gear-driven camshafts, a four-into-two-into-one exhaust system, adjustable Showa suspension, and a Pro-Arm single-sided swingarm as well as triple Nissin disc brakes, black-finished 16″ and 17″ alloy wheels, dual headlights, a black solo seat, and a side stand. The seller purchased the bike in 2020, reportedly from its original owner, and states that an oil change and battery replacement were carried out in 2021. This RC45 shows 903 miles and is now offered with a tool kit, purchase documentation, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.”

We love watching Bring A Trailer because we find bikes like this.
If you want to read up on this specific year and model you can find multiple posts right here on RSBFS. The search function of this site delivers! Tad opened a 2019 featured post with, “Certainly one of the most sought-after bikes of the 1990s, today’s Featured Listing RVF750R RC45 was the follow up to Honda’s extremely successful VFR750R or RC30. Ultimately, the RC45 didn’t have the same success in racing as their earlier RC30, but it wasn’t for lack of effort. The RC45 was every bit as polished and exotic, and used the same basic formula as the RC30: light and stiff aluminum beam frame, V4 with gear-driven cams, and a single-sided swingarm. The RC45 was powered by a 749cc, 90° V4 with gear-driven cams and the “big bang” firing order that gave the Honda V4s their characteristic sound and improved traction coming out of corners. The cam gears were moved from the center of the engine as is typically seen in motorcycles, including the RC30, to the side of the engine to improve packaging, while sophisticated PGM-FI fuel injection replaced carburetors.”
The few that have been featured on this site were high dollar auctions. This one looks clean and is low miles, so we can only expect to see more bidding in the final days.
This old article from Cycle World Magazine states, “Since its introduction in 1990, the VFR750 has been voted “Best 750 Streetbike” each and every year in Cycle World’s annual “Ten Best Bikes”” and you can check out the vintage graphics.
If you haven’t noticed, I’m a sucker for eye-candy. Here is some more from Cycle World.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

Holy cow. These make RC30’s look pretty common. Very cool indeed.
Keep hoping to come across my ex RC45 here. Even had a one off Ti exhaust made by Yosh that I got direct from HRC thanks to some friends. The exhaust canister was simply a carbon/kevlar wrap over nothing at all. It sounded glorious. Should have never given her up for a 916.
WOW Steve, I agree . . .
BaT shows sold for $66,500. Even with the 5% buyers fee added in, seems well bought! -dc
