1988 Ducati 750 Paso LE with a super low 377 miles!

A Paso [ Spanish > “Ugly”, “Why?”, “WTF?”]
Okay so maybe I just made (the above) up but I think everyone can agree that you either Love it or Hate it. Not to be out gunned by Honda’s 600 F1 Hurricane for “who has the most bodywork ” contest, Ducati really stepped it up for the little old Paso compared to the 750 Sport and F1’s of 1988. Flawed from inception with the rear cylinder reversed so both cylinders could share the same carb (which again proves my theory), If you have a serious plan and that conversation starts with, “wouldn’t it be cool if…..” you’re just asking for disaster. This motor just never ran very well and sales were sluggish at best. This one though is a “Limited” which only handfuls were made and with 377 miles this thing could be ready for the Barber Museum. Other than the decals I’ve only heard rumors of what the differences might be, but your guess may be as good as mine. Please comment if you have any hard facts about the Limited, thanks. It’s on Ebay with a few days left.
Go the EBay link.
Even with a headlight the size of a 1986 Ford F250 this bike will probably do quite well on EBay. Regular “run of the day” Paso’s seem to bring anywhere from the $2000-$3000 range. This one, if those facts are correct, is collectible for sure to someone. If you want to buy it and ride it well you’ll need to spend some money on it with a new set of belts and maybe a few other misc items to make it street worthy. I believe you can also switch out the carb for something better and get the bike really running well. It’s just really hard to believe that only 6 years later Ducati destroys the entire industry with the mighty 916.
