Previously posted in August of last year, this KR-1 is back on eBay in Canada. Links updated. -dc
Here is one for those of you who wear green Kawasaki that didn’t have huge success in the two-stroke 250cc game like the other manufacturers did, though the KR-1 and later KR-1S did serve notice to RGVs of the day. Renowned for their top speed over other bikes and handling and more comfortable riding position, the KR-1 was a joyful unit while it lasted.
The particular KR-1 up for sale here looks to be in very good and original condition. The paint looks to be in good and blemish-free condition, and no modifications as far as I can see are on this bike. Given that the description is mostly pertained to the bikes stats and not a surplus of photos are available, it’s hard to judge too much on its condition.
From the seller:
KAWASAKI KR-1 8090Km 1988
250CC, Two Stroke, Liquid cooled, Parallel twin cylinder, Kick start, 55HP,6 speed transmission,Adjustable front forks, Front 2x & rear disk brakes,16Lt fuel capacity, 123kg dry weight, Aluminum frame.
Brand new radial tires, Certified. very low insurance.
There you have it, yet another smoker from Canada for your viewing pleasure. This one has a BIN of $4,300. I don’t see too many of these pop up, but if the condition is true to what it appears to be, I would say that this is a fair price. Still would like to see some more photos and history on the bike. You can check out the auction here and see if you want to make this Kawi yours.
