If you are looking for something different – not necessarily better or worse, just different – perhaps a Guzzi might pique your interest. With a big, torquey 90 degree v-twin, think of the V-11 as a cross between a Ducati Supersport and a BMW sport tourer. It has a bit less outright performance than the Ducati, but more personality than the Beemer.
From the seller:
This rare V-11 Rosso Corsa is garage kept and adult rider owned. Never down or wrecked , this Guzzi is showroom new. Not a scratch on the bike or wheels. Completely stock except for gel cell battery and tires. front tire is 60% , rear is 50% . 14963 original miles
These V-11s pop up occasionally on RSBFS, but they are by no means a common motorcycle. Importation has been spotty over the years – as has brand ownership. But under the current umbrella of Piaggio the world’s oldest continuous motorcycle manufacturer continues to thrive, building high quality bike that are different.
This V-11 is available via auction. The current bid is only at $4k with reserve in place. There is a BIN on this auction, which is set at a very reasonable $5,500. That is not a lot of money for what is clearly a lot of bike. Click the link to check out the auction here, and then jump back to our forums and share your thoughts. What is your favorite Guzzi model?
